'15 GA WR TJ Rahming

Call me crazy, but what is the advantage of putting speedy receivers in screens? Screens by design are slow-developing plays and don't take advantage of speed. Their main advantage should be to run a great (fast) route. Get a speed guy open 10-20 yards downfield and now we're talking.

Go back and watch CP. I am not saying this kid has that kind of talent but he that kind of speed. Screens work great for speed guys when they are set up correctly and blocked for well.

His only drawback is his size (5'9"ish). Outside of that he's a great looking prospect all around. Obviously he has great speed and quickness, but he also makes great cuts and is very agile, looks to have soft hand and pretty good ball skills as well. He's got it all as a receiver other than ideal size. The only problem is that we already have Jaylond Woods (who I like a lot) as a slot receiver in this class and Vic from the last class. Not saying we don't have room for both in this class if the coaches wanted them but we are still in on some other big time receiving prospects and I'm not sure how many more we will take with Williams and Woods already on board.

Agree with all of the above. I still think Woods can be a DB. Id like to see two inside WRs this class though after taking just one last year (of course some of the bigger guys can play inside some too).

I'd like to see Woods out at some camps this summer. I think it would do a lot for him developmentally. Just from what I've read I know Bajakan wants him at slot, but all that does is narrow down the position he projects at. Kid could be a baller defensive back as well. If he goes to some camps we - the fans- will have a better idea of where he projects.

It's not enough that the Tennessee OC wants him in the slot? Why would the kid need to camp somewhere to prove he could or could not play CB in the SEC if UT's coaches don't feel the need? So the fans feel better about taking him? That just sounds very strange to me.

No, it has nothing to do with feeling better about taking him. It's already been established that he is a take so us fans should have no beef with that. My point was that if he got some more looks at camps, we could have a better idea of where he projects at and it would also aid him developmentally, like it would any prospect but with Jaylond I know he apparently struggled a bit with catching the ball the last camp he attended so that is yet another for possible reason for a reevaluation.

Just my opinion but there's no need to be defensive about where a prospect projects, even if it based on what our OC has said. It's like with Jaason Lewis. We offered him at RB, but because he such a gifted athlete he could very well play multiple positions and many analysts/fans alike feel he will pan out better at LB/WR. Same logic applies to Jaylond Woods, however, he's limited to the CB and slot position in this case.

I think Joker Phillips does some work on the side for Wake Forest.

Excessive pancaking?

Anyone else get the feeling that was made for someone else, and they slapped TJ's pic on it?

Yep, Pancaking and dominating defenders? That's not something typically said about receivers. Don't you think if they made that personally for TJ it would have mentioned something about his speed or recieving skills lol.

In his one year swan song with UT Clawson's system emphasized OL lining up and blocking not necessarily at their position (Right tackles sometimes playing on the left etc) maybe at Bowling Green he let receivers in on the fun...would be worth losing him to witness him BEASTING and trying to pancake Andrew Butcher :)

My thoughts exactly. This was made for an OL and lazily edited for TJ.

Not that it matters... Wake isn't a factor. He is UT bound and I can't wait to see him in orange. Dude can fly.
