I get the significance of the article appearing on a nation sports network website, but man that article had pretty much zero new information on the situation.

Yes. At least the ones that care about winning do.

The rest of you can go support another team.

Wait, if someone's first choice for coach isn't Pearl, then they don't care about winning and can go root for someone else?

What about people who have stated they only want Pearl back? Can they go root for another team if he isn't the guy?

What's the chances that this was the plan all along. Remember, Pearl recommended CCM. Was it really to just keep his seat warm for him? Pearl was the most exciting thing to take place on the hill with men's b ball since the Ernie and Bernie show. The athletic dept would be even more foolish than our last group, if they don't nail him down ASAP. That is, if it's not already done! Was this all just part of his punishment? Why would he stay in Knoxville? Why take a job here in a food buisness?

Sorry...this almost turned into an episode of Unsolved Mysteries.:ermm:

Kind of like MJ's first retirement from basketball when he went to play in minor league baseball ranks....

So it was all planned like a symphony!

:loco:

Bring Bruce back and give him as long a leash as he wants, just keep him away from the backyard BBQ. Let the man coach and get us back in the thick of the SEC in basketball once again. It is time for us to be relevant again in ALL SPORTS, MENS AND WOMENS, AT UT. GBO VFL

Actually just keep him out of situations where he feels he must shred his integrity for a little swaray behind the NCAA's back. No one should be banned from BBQ.

This is great exposure, I just wish they writer had included the petition to bring back Bruce in his story.

Would bringing Pearl back be like making a pact with the Devil?

Nah, that's what keeping Martin would be. We already know he is not a big time coach and gets out witted by opposing coaches so it's crazy to even entertain the idea of keeping Martin another year.
