Butch Jones is to Tennessee football.

Could you imagine if we did bring Bruce back? You could not have two more energetic, passionate, in love with the University of Tennessee, hard-working individuals than Bruce Pearl and Butch Jones.

We would be everywhere, because these guys both are interested in getting the brand out into the nation.

I just thought about it, and the combination of Butch and Bruce would be nothing but amazing for the University.

Just wanted to give my 2 cents.

Yes sir! I loved Bruce from the moment he sent players into the stands to thank us for coming out to the game against ETSU!!

And yes, having players coming down through the stands was an awesome awesome move.

Butch and Bruce are both masters of PR moves.

No I was talking about Bruce first home game. After it was over he sent the players into the stands to thank them for coming out to the game. I was like This dude appreciates the chance we have given him regardless if he turns out to be good or bad.

Who knows if we get into a bidding war with these schools our low proposal would win his services. I think he wants to fix what he broke.

Seriously Duke and Kansas. Ain't going to happen, it's stupid to list them....shows your emotional creditability on this board....just dumb to list them.

Since finances is a concern for the Athletic Department, how many people think you could hire Bruce including the buyout for less than you could hire another coach not including the buyout? Add in the fact that you have an instantly full basketball arena of Vol fans and its a no brainer!

Do Vols fans remember two Sweet Sixteen appearances and one Elite Eight appearance in six seasons by the coach who was the second-fastest NCAA coach to reach 300 victories, and needed only 382 games to reach this mark (Roy Williams, the current coach at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, needed 370 games at the University of Kansas to reach this milestone).

Do the math. 5,000 additional season tickets if Pearl is hired equals approx. $1million in extra revenue. It's a no-brainier. If our AD and powers that be can't see that, we don't need a basketball program.

One of our SEC brothers has $100,000,000 in their athletic reserve. I think the average may be around $20,000,000. It is my understanding we have approximately $1,000,000. Want a high price coach, send $ now.

do you remember him being fired for lying to the NCAA about recruiting violations?

yep, it would be like Memphis rehiring Cal...I'd have to find a new team to root for...you don't bring back a guy who embarrassed your program and had to be fired for lying to the NCAA about recruiting violations.

in fact, I believe if UT tried to hire BP back before Aug 23 they have to go back before the NCAA infractions committee to explain themselves.
