His show-cause does not expire until August. Until then, he isn't a factor in the coaching ranks. How much a faction of fans want him back doesn't change that.

I think he signed the petition to show that it was a joke and will have no bearing on anything the AD does, and likewise was joking about BP tanning. At least that's how I took it.
