'15 NM QB Zach Gentry

Adding Pearson and Malone there is a massive help. Pearson catches EVERYthing, and Malone's also got great hands. We already know North can make the tough catch.

Agreed. Pearson and Malone make North and Howard better too, not to mention having good hands at TE. I feel much, much better about our passing game, even if we only get very similar play out of our QBs this year. I think we pick up at least a couple of games if not more...

There were a whole lot of passes dropped last year too... many that were catchable... I'm hopeful that the passing game will improve as well.

Bajakian said he told his QBs on NSD that "even if they did nothing, they became better QBs today" due to the influx of talent at receiver.

I think Dobbs got a bunch of criticism that could have been laid on the WR corps. Should be fun to watch who wins the QB and WR battles.

My concerns going into next year: ST's, OL, run defense, QB, interior DL, CBs, and our identity on offense.

We need to, IMO, establish an identity. Make teams fear us.

i watched his video again. that talent is horrible!

i have friends that are 6'6" and decent athletes. i myself am a 'decent' at best athlete. however im 6'6" on a ladder. for someone that size to have the body control he has combined with his arm strength at his size. Mother of goodness! i honestly cannot say ive seen that type of agility on someone that size with that tyoe of arm in a long while. i dont think hes aa fast as his film lets on. kid can hurl it. he wont have to run. i think hes def a spread qb out of the gate. but with that kind of arm and refinement he will play in tbe nfl

Wasn't scam Newton like 6 5 or 6 6 maybe not quite the arm but better at running g

"I've been trying to get a little bit more familiar since the offer," said Gentry of his knowledge of the Cowboy program. "I've learned a little bit more about just the overall feel of the offense and the coaching staff and the success they've had over there the last ten years since Coach Gundy has been there. It's an exciting team to watch on Saturday's for sure with that offense and the facilities they have are great and so far it's looking really impressive."

"They pretty much just told me that I'm the perfect fit for the offense that they've been using which is the up tempo spread offense and they want to be able to utilize the quarterback a little bit in the running game to keep the defense honest and keep airing it out as well too so they think that I'm a good fit there," he said.

"I'm interested for sure," he said. "I've talked to my parents a little bit getting some traveling things squared away but I think there is a pretty realistic shot of me getting out there this spring to Stillwater to check everything out so I think I'm definitely interested."

"I understand that quarterbacks commit early because there's less spots to fill and everything so for a while I thought that I'd play it out and everything but I think that I'm going to try and make my decision before this next school year," he said.

The article didn't mention any other schools. But it did mention that OK St is planning to take 2 QB's this class.

well damn. that sucks.

Why? It's written by an OSU writer. He probably didn't ask him about other schools and if he did he didn't put them in the article. It was all OSU questions and answers. Wouldn't worry about it at all. Wu said in the scout article that UT was his only planned visit right now.

The top prospect in New Mexico doesn't currently have plans to see other campuses.

"Not so far, no sir. Tennessee is the only place so far that I'm itching to go out and see," he said.

I love in that rivals article that he's already talking about committing early. He wouldn't say that without having a school in mind. And with UT going to see him a few times already, him "itching" to get to Knoxville. I think if he makes the spring game and things go well he commits soon after. JMO

while i agree ron. ok state is closer, runs that offense. and is one of his few offers. still the same after having read tbe scout article. sounds good.

Come on guys really you think if a QB has a good year we could win 10 games?

I'm all for a good pumping of the sunshine but that's just nuts..we're replacing our entire offensive line, most of the defensive line, & will be dependent on 1-2 freshman RB's making a huge impact.

You need to understand the difference between could and would.

Can we win 10 games if our QB balls out?? Of course there is a chance we could, even though that chance is very small. If the probability isn't 0 then there is always a chance we could.
