'15 TN DE Kyle Phillips (UT commit 1/3/15)

Really? Who?

Colon popcorn colon

I'm curious as to who he's talking about as well. I could venture a guess assuming he's doing some gazing. But the coaches turned away some highly rated recruits in this class so I don't think that is the case at all.

There aren't 33 spots in this class. There are a few guys I think wouldn't have been takes in a class of 25. I don't care to speculate names in case the kid reads this site. Since he didn't end up being a part of this class I will say Thomas wouldn't be a take in this class.

Oh I see where you're coming from now.

Very reasonable. Thanks

2. KYLE PHILLIPS, DE, NASHVILLE (TENN.) HILLSBORO (2015)
Phillips declared his surgically repaired shoulder "65 percent" on Sunday, but he sure looked close to 100 percent while going through agility drills. He wasn't able to take part in the rest of the day's proceedings, but despite being limited in workouts for the past few months, Phillips hasn't added any bad weight and continues to move very well for a 6-foot-4, 250-pound defensive end.

Since Sunday night, this guy has had 7 crystal ball predictions, all to Tennessee. Something big about to happen?

3 of them were from Simmons, Calahan, and Schurburtt.

An Oh St guy and an Ole Miss guy picked TN too.

There's a video interview up on VQ and Phillips says he's not in a hurry, will take OV's this fall and hopes to decide early in the season. I'd be surprised if he announced soon but I think he'll be a Vol no matter what so I'm not worried. He says he wants to check out Clemson and UF and really wants to get to know the schools more and not just the coaches at the places he's interested in. He says he wants to choose a school for the school and not just for relationships with coaches. He recentley visited Bama and really liked it down there and said his only other plans this spring are to visit UT sometime in Feb or March.

I think Roseboro will be a Vol before the Orange and White game is over and then we pick up Phillips early in the fall to round out the D end class.

During most conversations, Tennessee remains one of the first names out of his mouth and he talked about why he remains high on the Vols. “Just the coaching staff, the fan support, even when they were losing they still sold out every game,” Phillips said of the Vols. ‘When I went there this summer, I found out about their academic support and how they’re going to help you in school and things like that so that’s something I like about them.”-247 Sports
