'15 TN DE Kyle Phillips (UT commit 1/3/15)

Beast. Next years class will be small--somewhere around 20 to maybe even 25 after attrition, but it will be stacked with big time talent from top to bottom.

Ive noticed people keep saying thats a small class. 20-25 is the average of what other teams take each year. This year class was just huge, so it makes other classes look small.

People are starting to call it small because they have seen us other posters say "smaller" as in relation to our last class. I'd put the normal class size at 17-25 recruits. With a class that size, even though it's the norm, you have to be much more choosey about quantity of players per position and their quality.

Yeah you're right 20-25 is around the average. Should have said small compared to this class.

Yes but it will be a fight with schools like Bama, OSU, UF, Clemson, until NSD.

I think the staff's best chance to add more DL guys in 2015 is focus in state and McKenzie. Taking as many as they did in 2014 plus Butcher and Jackson for 2015, will make getting top DL guys who are not instate or who don't have ties to UT to buy in tough IMO.

Still not worried with this one. You and me both know he's really bought into Butch. Anything is possible and he could very well end up somewhere else but at this point he's one of the guys I feel the most confident about.

“I think I want to take some (official visits) before I make my final decision, so hopefully (I will decide) by midseason, maybe even after the season,” “Hopefully, by that time, I’ll figure it out.”

“I like the (Tennessee) coaching staff a lot,” Phillips said. “The fans show a lot of love. They’re always there. They’re loyal. Even when they weren’t that good this year, they still showed up to the games and things like that, so that was good to see. And I could see myself going there (even) if I wasn’t a football player, so I like that a lot.

Dude reminds me of Herron for some reason

Hope he makes a different college decision...

Me too. I didn't mean that tho and I know you know that, so before someone misconstrues... Just that they seemed similar "on the films" as an illustrious poster once put it

This is another thing that winning helps. When you are winning and are the place to be, then suddenly they care less about he depth charts and just want to be part of if.
