'14 JUCO WR Lavon Pearson (UT SIGNEE 12/18/13)

I hope Creamer blows everyone away, and doesn't end up in the same boat as Paul Harris did. Really thought that kid would be a real weapon. Never saw the field...much. That would be such a sick WR group

I'm confused at how national analyst when talking about our class rarely mention him or if they do its just by name without description into what he will do. I mean we are talking consensus #2 WR and on some #2 overall juco period. When we got CP he was headliner and all anyone talked about. It's crazy how this class is so good that a potential one and done talent is sneaking under the national radar despite being highly rated.

Wow. Thats an awesome story. Hopefully he keeps working on his grades now that hes reached his goal. Im happy for this kid and am glad Butch saw his talent first

Hopefully he will be able to drop that guy a nice piece of change one day. Great story, this kid( well, man) will be hungry.

I am impressed with Von and his abilities watching his film.

In fact this whole class just seems to be full of stand up guys who are all about team and less about themselves.

From a poster on VQ, thought it was worth sharing...

Fortenberry commented in the thread and said it's a true story. Pretty incredible.

Love stories like this.
CBJ: "I'd like to get you down to Tennessee, Von."
VP: "Sounds great coach. When can I move in?"
CBJ: "Lol. Wut?"

Yeah the video feature on utsports on NSD alluded to this. He said something like "a few years ago I was flipping burgers at McDonalds and now I'm playing college football in the SEC". Great story and Von seems like a great guy

Wears my favorite number and after that video, he is definitely my favorite player for next year. Seems like he appreciates where he is, and worked hard to get there. Awesome

Seems like these coaches weren't just giving lip service when they talked about having a player profile for recruiting. One of the common themes with these kids seems to be a solid work ethic.
