Not all generics prescriptions are $4. When we did not have insurance my wife had one prescription that ran between $60-125 depending on the pharmacy. Wal-Mart, CVS and Walgreen were the highest priced. After we were able to purchase insurance, Humana, that same drug cost us $20 per month.

a great mechanic could probably transform a Yugo into something resembling a Ferrari with enough time, bondo and welding. The question is whether that would be the smartest way to obtain a Ferrari in the first place. Not to mention I wouldn't put too many of our current politicians in the "great" category

the current ACA just needs to be scrapped. It's a mess and will fix no issues being faced with insurance in this country.

What's the average deductible? 2k?

What's the average emergency room visit cost? 1 to 1.5k (just guessing)? So the insurance company pays squat and we get hit on both sides. This isn't even counting the 20-30% copays after the deductible is met.

If people are getting free or subsidized insurance on the taxpayers dime & at the cost of force feeding people something they don't need something is way wrong.

Our health system has been a disaster for years. We have been providing the uninsured with healthcare for many, many years. Obamacare or not people in America will go down to emergency rooms, be admitted to hospitals and be treated on the taxpayer dime. That is the cold hard truth. The question I ask is it cheaper to help provide a few million people with insurance coverage or pay their entire bill when they go to the hospital. We are going to do one or the other.
