The article on utsports says they will still have 7 home games in Neyland. So this game at LP field is like a bonus it appears.

I think it will not only be great for recruiting but it lets UT take a dump on Vandy by playing a game in Nashville. Imagine how pissed off we'd be if Vandy was going to play some neutral site game in Knoxville?

I love that they're doing this.

Well, first of all, VU doesn't have enough fans in NASHVILLE to fill Dudley, much less LP. Even Gordon Ghee, when he was Chancellor at VU, had a message of the jumbotron at (then Adelphia Stadium) LP thanking UT fans for buying so many tickets through their athletic office--it was meant to be a snide comment towards Tennessee but I'm like, you just insulted your own fan base, genius...you literally just admitted your own fans weren't as interested in the game as your rival. Congrats, Gordon...that really stung.

And yes, absolutely, a recruiting perk for Butch & Co. Especially with the Midstate prospects looking as good as they do for the foreseeable future. Showcasing the Orange and White in VU's backyard is just icing on the cake.

Just hope that they continue to consider it an away game, or at least keep them powder-puff teams, like UAB...

Back in the day we played Wyoming at Adelphia(LP field)Coliseum and it was a home game for Wyoming. But essentially it was a home game for us in Nashville. I went and I loved it.

SIAP I'm way behind today. Did espn ever show the behind the scenes look at our new facilities yesterday? I had the tv on espnu all day while also following the fax cam/war room and VN on laptop. I saw the lady that was covering us for espn say they were gonna do a piece on our new $50 mil facilities early yesterday at like 7:00 am central or so, but never saw it.

Maybe I missed it, idk. Anyone know if they ever ended up showing it? I saw where she was at the fueling station or whatever it's called later in the day where players get different protein shakes and whatnot, but never saw a tour of all the new facilities like she said.

Other than that, I gotta say, I thought they talked about us more and we got better exposure than I was expecting even if they didn't show all the new facilities. Good pub either way. They'll be back next year too. They just don't know it yet :)

I bet if that lil trollop gulped down a homemade peanut butter smoothie, she'll be campaigning for a return trip.

That game will also be the first time playing in the new Unis by Nike. This is such a strategic and brilliant move by the Butcher and Hit man Hart.

I know this ended up being long. Sry ab that, got a little carried away, Anyways, vu is about to snap back to reality and it's gonna be fun to watch.

Yesterday was a great day to be a Vol until I went to the bball game and watched Cuonzo get out coached by a vu team with 7 scholly players smh. It's frustrating to watch.

Gotta say tho, I felt extremely proud being in my orange amongst the vu fans after the day we had in recruiting compared to how far they fell the last few weeks. I'm always proud to wear my orange no matter what, but it did feel a bit different bc I could easily feel the butthurt amongst all of them bc they know the annual beat down from UT every Nov will resume like normal starting in Neyland West this year.

Oh, and I couldn't help but laugh when Mason made the comment at halftime about how they'll be looking fwd to the upside-down T. Lol I don't care if they put the Power T sideways, upside-down, paint it pink, or leave it off their schedule completely. However they wanna disrespect us won't change the fact that their best run in school history is over (and while we were at our worst in over 100 years), it's dead and gone.

Accept the fact that you'll always be our doormat no matter how smart you think you are and I suggest you cherish these back-to-back wins like they were NC's (well, guess that'd be too hard, just imagine they were SEC East championships) bc it will never happen again. You know it and we damn sure know it. This is, and always will be, OUR STATE. We don't want you jumping back on our bandwagon in a couple years either.

I got more bad news for ya, vu. If you thought UT taking 8 or so of the state's best recruits from your own backyard this year was bad it's only gonna get worse. Butch is just getting started and I don't care if that pos JF was still there or not. It doesn't matter bc Butch was already making him cry on the radio and tweet childish comments at top recruits in his own backyard that he couldn't even get to look his way.

At least Franklin could finally see the anchor at vu has always been down and they're not going anywhere. vu will always be second rate to UT even during your brightest days and with us coming out of our darkest. We will continue to take what we want in Tennessee and you'll have to get used to getting all the scraps again....like normal.

If you don't believe me sit back and watch us Rise to the Top while y'all are still Anchored Down lmao. That's funny, maybe y'alls little motto should've been Anchor Up instead of Anchor Down so y'all could've actually tried to move out of the bottom of the SEC for longer than a fluky two year period. Well, it is what it is, vandy. Anchor Down! V,B!

don't know who if it has been discussed or not but the video that they played to start the recruiting celebration last night was worth the price of admission. If there is somebody that can find it and upload it it is the best about 15 minutes you'll ever watch

Surprise Class:

It has to be*Tennessee. The Vols finished with a top five class, No. 4 to be exact, and it signed 32 prospects.

Butch Jones put together his first full class as the UT head coach and it was a very good one. No five stars, but seventeen four stars - that is huge.

What impressed the most is how he kept the best at home.Josh Malone,*Jalen Hurd, Todd Kelly Jr. and others inside the state of Tennessee had national offers, but Jones kept them in Knoxville.

He also went into states like*California, Florida, Georgia,Illinois, and*North Carolina*to get talent.

No 5-stars my left testicle...only reason is because Scout sucks at evaluation

SIAP, but John Brice of VQ got the awesome privilege to hang out with Butch and everybody else in the War Room. He documented and detailed everything.

Brice said while the coaches were eager to get the faxes in, the true main focus was the 2015 and 2016 kids. Brice said, while he was in the War Room for those 5-6 hours, the coaches were able to talk to over 250 '15 and '16 prospects.

Azzanni told him that when Malone committed, he had his position nailed down so from there on out he has been recruiting next year's class every day for essentially 3-4 months now.

I know Thig gets a lot of the recruiting credit (and rightfully so), but I think Elder and Azzanni have done a GREAT job as well. Elder is on the Memphis kids and is responsible for TEs and STs. We signed a top 5 kicker, #1 LS, #2 TE, and Ethan Wolf.

I think Gillespie is really starting to prove himself as well. Getting Hurd, Paulk, and Scott is no fluke. I thought Jay Graham was pretty detailed in his coaching. Well Gillespie is on a different level and that's what it takes at this level.

"You get what you put in".... I think that phrase will depict the efforts of our coaches on the recruiting trail with the results of our upcoming classes. I will admit, I was VERY skeptical of this staff when they were first hired.

I truly believe not one other coaching staff in the world will out-work our staff in anything.

Just my thoughts, post signing day
