Easy now. Let's jut say these colors look good on everyone, but sometimes these colors aren't even enuff to make some look good. (Unless it's accompanied by lots of ETOH)

Fair enough. I agree, the combo of a gameday high and some proper gameday beverages DID improve the stock of many coeds. No "coyote ugly" moments but close! Lol

"a number of college coaches have traveled to new mexico over the past couple of months to check on zach gentry, but perhaps no out-of-state team recently has been there more frequently than tennessee.

Gentry, a top247 junior quarterback from eldorado high school in albuquerque, n.m., said he received a visit monday from jones and tennessee offensive coordinator mike bajakian, marking the third time the vols have checked on him in less than two months.

The 6-foot-6, 230-pound gentry — who picked up a scholarship offer from tennessee in december — said the visit from jones “no doubt” made a big impression on him.

“the head coach coming out, especially this close to signing day to wrap up the 2014 class and everything, i think that’s a big deal because they’re definitely showing a lot of interest,” said gentry, who now claims six offers to date. “i mean, coach ‘jake’s already come out to see me three times, so that meant a lot.”

jones and bajakian have made it clear to gentry that he’s one of the vols’ top quarterback targets in the 2015 class.

They just told me that they’d love for me to be a vol, and they want me to try to get out and maybe see the spring game, get out as soon as i can and visit everything, and take an unofficial and just check everything out,” said gentry

“(jones) was just telling me that they love the way i play, they love the kid i am, and they really, really want me to wear orange and white in a couple of years. It just really meant a lot to me hearing that from him.”

“it’s really exciting. I’ve been looking into it more. I like it a lot, especially with the interest the coaches are showing. Doing my research, i like the school, i like the facilities and, obviously, the recruiting classes they’ve been pulling in are top-of-the-line.”
while gentry has yet to schedule any upcoming visits, he said he’s hoping to make it to tennessee this spring — perhaps, as jones suggested, for the vols’ spring-ending orange and white game on april 12.

“my parents have always just told me, if a place feels right, no matter how far away it is, they can do whatever they can to come out and see me,” gentry said. “i think, if a place just feels right with me, then i have no problem traveling or going a long distance.”

Holy Cow...I don't get excited about a highlight film very often, but, this kid has the tools to be a star...only thing I didn't like was that he didn't throw from a high level...he is 6'6" and throws from about a 6' level, but that is just nitpicking...he has good speed to be so freaking tall and a very strong arm. The throw that stood out was the one at about 1min 15sec, black jersey orange pants, where he started to scramble but stopped and whipped the ball off his back foot to a receiver running an out pattern almost 30yards down field...and put it on the money...this is one of the first QB's that I have ever said on here that I WANT...CBJ needs to lock him down...

I-40 takes you right there either way...easy speasey

This is the QB I hope UT ends up with. Besides his size and ability to run, he has a very quick realase comparable to (not equal to) Dan Marino. I've only seen highlights which only tell a very small portion of the story, but with proper development this kid could end up being a #1 pick in the nfl. I really like Gibson and Stidham too, but niether of them have the quick release Gentry has. Accuracy is a concern when Qbs have this type of throwing motion, but like I said, with proper development he could be great.

This kid looked really good on film. He does have a quick release and should be able to see the field well. I read where he ran a about a 4.7 40 (no 400 time listed) but he looked faster than that but his competition may have been a little slow. His vision on when to keep the ball and run was also impressive as was his ability to evade tacklers. He should be a take if we can get him. He seems interested in us too.

Coaches pushing hard to get that early QB commitment. IMO they can't let it all play out like they did last year with QB recruiting and Cornwell. With QB recruiting now, most have committed by June. With the spring game in April, having the top tier QB for our 2015 class in place by the end of April may very well be the goal.

Love his accuracy, can't tell too much about arm strength because of the resolution on the highlights I watched. Seem solid though. Only thing that scares me is his footwork. Seems to throw off his back feet a lot. Not an issue as long as he pivots his hips. It hopefully Coach Bajakian will get his footwork mor me stable. Really want this kid.

No. Pretty sure Woody never said it was a "big fish" or a 2015 kid. Fortenberry said he thinks its a 2016 kid. Dorian Banks is committing tonight between UT and UK and he doesnt have a UK offer. Its him

lol!

He must really be itching to commit. Glad to have him!

He's going to shock the world.

This guy has a quick release, good arm strength and accuracy, doesn't seem to get flustered by the rush, and not to mention has ideal size for a QB. Great looking prospect all around. Hope we can get him on board, and the early the better. It's always a big plus to get a top QB on early to help sell recruits (especially o-linemen and receivers).
