Do I think the loudest group wants him back, absolutely. However, loudness does not equal intelligence/majority. Does the real majority want to win? Yes, of course. But the majority (I would hope) would be intelligent to understand why he is not the best option and that others not named Pearl can win here.
I would actually like to see Pearl land at Alabama (won't happen, though). For two reasons:
1) He would have the NCAA camped out in Tuscaloosa, and because cheating is the Bama way, inevitably there would be major violations discovered that may not have been otherwise. Pearl to Alabama could be Saban's worst nightmare.
2) The Orangenecks would finally realize that Pearl's "love" for UT ended when he was removed from the payroll. What "VFL" would accept a job coaching a UT arch-rival?

You really must have a reading comprehension problem if you drew that conclusion from what he said. He's just obviously not a Pearl worshipper like many. Which, by the way, I'm surprised you were able to pull your lips from his butt long enough to type that.
There's a lot of Bruce Pearl talk on Finebaum today. BP is receiving nothing but praise.
They talked about how valuable he was to not only Tennessee but to the SEC as a whole. Said he made UT the most exciting team to watch outside of Kentucky and basically how we are irrelevant now.
link?
It's just a radio show. Nothing serious just conversation. I found it interesting though that no caller once said they wouldn't want him or that no one should hire him.
Seems like only UT fans don't want him back.
Also, no one mentioned ol' Cuonzo once or said we were better off. Basically the opposite. All about how BP made our program electric and brought excitement to UT bball and SEC bball, and after he was fired the program took a nose dive.
