'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

So I guess he'll have all 6 of his finalist's hats on the table, if that's how he chooses to announce.

If I were a betting man, I'd say LSU/UT/UF/USC will have hats on the table, if he choses to use them. If it were Adoree's way he would have the moon painted his schools colors so the entire world could see.

He might not be a Vol but I wouldn't say Gruden-esque. Hubbs and co. never once bought the Gruden hype. They always said it wasn't going to happen and it never really had a chance. However, they've said UT is likely in Jackson's top 3 and will be in there until the end. They've also said UT is where his parents and family in Illinois would like him to go. I don't really care what national writers say, I'll take Hubbs and Fort over any of them when it comes to UT.

Again, Jackson might go elsewhere but UT is in the top group and serious players for his signature.

I hear you. Gruden-esque may be strong (although there do seem to be "insiders" floating around in this thread, inflating everyone's hopes...).

I guess my point is, like Gruden, I'm not following the narrative of why some think we will get him. I love UT football (it's a long-time family tradition). But without a strong, recent winning tradition in track and football, I'm not sure why he'd pick us over the others, honestly.

Don't get me wrong, though. I'd love to have this guy and CBJ has done an excellent job with him, it seems. We've at least had a chance, which we never would have under Dooley.

That is the truth for sure!

BLUF: Would love to see this kid in orange.

Question: Seems as though we (collective VN) are considering Knoxville's proximity to his family in Illinois as one of the variables that keep us "in it until the end". But I have read on here that his family will be moving to the state he attends college in. Is this confirmed, and if so, then how does distance to where his family lives today make any difference?

Good question. I've not seen VQ or any national rivals analysts mention his family moving. My guess is it's just message board rumors that found there way over here.

Hopefully its not true. Would love to keep that advantage if it is one. After watching Sutton this year I can't imagine having two lock down corners that could play at that level. OC nightmare.

Orange hammer bringing it again.......Im all in..... and mom and dad want UT

Love your enthusiasm. I want to be all in, but I can't. After the gruden fiasco, I'll never be all in again. Too many alleged insiders with pertinent info. that appeared to be FOS when the dust cleared.

Not saying Hammer is FOS, but I now question all "insiders" regardless of how legit they appear.

For the record, I really hope Hammer is shooting us straight. GBO
