So I guess he'll have all 6 of his finalist's hats on the table, if that's how he chooses to announce.
He might not be a Vol but I wouldn't say Gruden-esque. Hubbs and co. never once bought the Gruden hype. They always said it wasn't going to happen and it never really had a chance. However, they've said UT is likely in Jackson's top 3 and will be in there until the end. They've also said UT is where his parents and family in Illinois would like him to go. I don't really care what national writers say, I'll take Hubbs and Fort over any of them when it comes to UT.
Again, Jackson might go elsewhere but UT is in the top group and serious players for his signature.
I hear you. Gruden-esque may be strong (although there do seem to be "insiders" floating around in this thread, inflating everyone's hopes...).
I guess my point is, like Gruden, I'm not following the narrative of why some think we will get him. I love UT football (it's a long-time family tradition). But without a strong, recent winning tradition in track and football, I'm not sure why he'd pick us over the others, honestly.
Don't get me wrong, though. I'd love to have this guy and CBJ has done an excellent job with him, it seems. We've at least had a chance, which we never would have under Dooley.
Good question. I've not seen VQ or any national rivals analysts mention his family moving. My guess is it's just message board rumors that found there way over here.
I concurred. Idk if they are losing that Dline. DGB will still be there. I despise that kid. He drew up the play on his hand that sent the UT game into overtime two years ago.
Orange hammer bringing it again.......Im all in..... and mom and dad want UT
