Kenny was pretty underrated. Very efficient scorer and ball-handler, but he was a mediocre defender.

That doesn't tell half the story. Not all 40 point games are created equal, and each of his have been accompanied by efficient scoring. The last 2 are off the charts. Counting FTs, last night he scored 46 off the equivalent of 28 shots. Give Melo 28 attempts and you'll get 31 points back.

But in all seriousness Lebron, Durant, Harden, Melo, Beal, Leonard, Iggy, Hayward, P George, Thompson...all the wings can bust. Doesn't seem like they need another shooter. Maybe that is the reasoning behind choosing him. Wouldn't surprise me if K considered him to be a good defender too, but it's K's style to pick versatile weapons. I'm surprised by the selection but I think he's worthy of it.
