I don't disagree that Butch is the man, but it really sucks losing top players in your state to teams you have to play every year. Losing Vonn Bell sucked last year, but he at least went to OSU and we never have to worry about him again. Carl Lawson on the other hand def hurt worse, and yes I know he's not an instate recruit, but still he's a big time player. You just don't want to lose players like this to teams like GA and Bama. That really sucks.

I understand. But Vonn Bell sucked more because he was more important to our class. We did not have an elite class because Dooley started it. But a loss for a 3rd ranked class is totally different than for a 17th ranked class. We will get plenty of talent and most likely a high percentage of the top in-state talent.

Lol I watched the tape from the state championship game right after Woody said that. There's no denying he got whipped, but he's not a corner. He's a safety.

Sheffield is a stud also. I don't know who's better.

When Pruitt takes a head coaching job in Dec. he'll be back In play lol, u shouldn't go to a school for the coach especially an assistant!

That's basically all recruiting is though..relationships..but obviously having great facilities & tradition help.

You think football kids really want to go to vandy for the school?..hell na that's why they're all gone now. They had a good relationship with franklin.

True just seems weird to follow an assistant who just changed schools. What % would u put on Pruitt being at UGA til McGraw graduates college?

No clue man..if his career keeps progressing well he could be gone in a few years.

We definitely still have time to land McGraw.

If he were going for Pruitt, this would make sense, but he is going because the UGA offer was the one he was waiting on. A dead guy could have recruited him to UGA and he would have committed.

I don't get the lack of interest in UT from the majority of Ensworth athletes and student body/families in general. UT seems to be beneath them yet they'll send their kids to Bama and Auburn as if those schools are more prestigious and less redneck than UT.
