'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

The one thing Ive noticed about his recruitment is how the top 2 vary by sites insiders: UT- UF&LSU..USC- lsu& Sc...UF-UF&SC... not sure how lsu feels their insiders feel good but most think SC.

Got them all guessing.

It is going to be very interesting. Hopefully he doesn't reveal anything before NSD. I'd like to be completely surprised when he picks UT.

imo.. USC is in a sitch w Adoree like we were with Vonn Bell last year..We will see if sark can pull it off. I hope not.

Google maps says Knoxville is 485 miles away and a 7:06 hour drive. Baton Rouge is 663 miles away and a 9:31 hour drive.

So the difference is not as much as you'd like, but it is significant. The Baton Rouge trip is close to being a 2 day trip rather than a 1 day drive.

I lived about 15 miles from his parents and traveled about 3-4 times a year to La. Usually went through Memphis and Jackson, but I usually made the other turn at Hammond. I would consider it about as easy is you are going to get for a in 9-10 hour drive, 95%+ of the time you are BFE.

" close to being a 2 day trip rather than a 1 day drive"

Depends on who the driver/s is. I easily made it by myself. Belleville to Gainsville is getting up there though, still depends though... probably looking closer to 13 hours there.

Hopefully he is either a Tiger or a Vol.

Hopefully he is a Vol.

He stated he was making a business decision. Would we be a business decision because we badly need a corner opposite Sutton, or would we not be a business decision because our track team sucks?

Was that not yesterday? Maybe that was the announcement he was meeting him in Illinois. Could be this weekend. Crap i dont know.

wheeler ITG said he exchanged msg with Aj and that they expect UT okie and another staff a to in home before he heads back to Cali.

I wonder who is the other staff member. Who is Butch takin with him to seal the deal?

How's UT's school of business?

Orrrr, if we pitched him at WR, maybe the business decision is that he can be a part of WRU

Or maybe the business is the Olympic track team ( hopefully not)

His parents do like Tennessee and the fact it's closer to their home than any other school. The family also have a couple of ties to Knoxville as well.

I think Tennessee is very much in it. I wonder if they had a much more competitive track program how that would affect things for Adoree.

IMO, if it is truly a business decision, he should concentrate on the football aspect rather than track. That is where the money is at unless you are Usain Bolt.

fyp..... can't upset buckeye high.
Maybe we should be so lame and make sure the we call ourselves THE UT..... as I'm sure some of us often do.

Well the way I see it is that we are THE UT, that other school in Austin (ut) is just a imposter!

The UT - 1891 first season

ut - 1893 first season
Texas Longhorns football - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

We had such a great power T they had to copy it and the they took our UT design.

I think this situation is very similar to the Eric Berry situation, minus the legacy part of it.

Elite DB commits to UT in a stacked class
Starts as Fresh makes immediate impact and plays great 3 years
Wins awards and is eventually the num5 pick and 3 pro bowls
All this while playing on sub par teams

Now while we hope by the time AJ is a Jr we will be competing for SECCs, our team now is similar to EBs teams. With that said I think he could be the next EB..or the first AJ as he has tweeted. I think we are DEFINITELY in this and EB helps us in his recruitment.

JMO of course
