I don't like how the wr. Stance is wouldn't that slow them down comming off the line/)?

Compactors who explode on take off:

cheetahs, almost all members of the cat family, sports participants lined up to race or run down the field (kick offs for example), soldiers in enemy hunting mode (dual purpose to reduce visibility/targeting and allow quick movement if imminent danger presents itself.

Man, we should have the best WR corp in the nation, based on potential of course, IMHO.

Pig is our best receiver right now. North/Vol/Malone have higher ceilings in terms of productivity and talent... but not right now. Don't forget about Pig.

Dobbs and Worley will both be significantly more experienced next yr than they were this past August. Yet if Ferguson or Peterman should beat them out, then, wow, more power to them. It will all be sorted out by work ethic and coaches' judgment. And they should have a better receiving corps and more time to spend with them.

Best bet is whoever can make the read option a read option. I like Worley and he has paid his dues...but this offense needs a QB that can also be a run threat. That would be Dobbs...or maybe even Fergy. I think spring will determine. Stay tuned...

Talent yes.....experience.....uh no! Unfortunately experience goes a LONG way in the SEC. I'm just saying it's important to NOT set expectations too high in their first year. SEC secondaries can be brutal. It's a lot to ask of a true freshman to come in and beat press coverage against SEC corners. Give them a year in the program and weight room before we expect greatness.

Yes you are right. Like I said huge talent

Can't wait for next year, only problem with me is all off season I'm level headed and know not to expect to much, but come kick off of the first game all that common sense goes out the window in favor of " we gon whip dey azzz!"

another unaka guy up in here?

Blah blah baklava.....dobbs was a true freshman thrown to the wolfes against the best teams. Worley was a junior still learning how not to throw into the dirt....

I hope Ferguson is good enough to win the starting job because if not Worley will be back in the saddle again. Dobbs was 4th string and looked like it, he is not sec material.

Quite true. Marquez North posted numbers that were good enough to earn third-team Athlon Sports Freshman All-American status, as well as SEC All-Freshman accolades and selection to the College Football News and 247 Sports All-Freshman Teams. For most receivers, however, those numbers would be rather pedestrian, thus underscoring your point about the learning curve associated with playing wide receiver as a true freshman in the SEC. Nevertheless, North's 496 yards and 38 receptions are 3rd and 2nd best, respectively, among freshmen wide receivers in Tennessee history (North, Sutton: Athlon Freshman All-Americans - UTSPORTS.COM - University of Tennessee Athletics). As impressive as Josh Malone is, it would be unwise to expect him to drastically exceed North's numbers this season, particularly with North returning and Pearson coming in as part of this class as well.

Of the new WRs...I look for Pearson to have the most production simply based on experience. I look for Malone to come on by mid year, but there's going to be growing pains for sure.

I agree. Fortunately, Josh is as polished a receiver at this stage of his career as you could hope to find and he will not have to shoulder the load, with North and Pearson in the stable as well.

Yes...I personally think Malone is already more polished than North was when he enrolled. I hope one of our QBs develops and can get them the ball consistently.
