Are you sure Tennessee fans don't instigate it? The kid obviously has a lot of respect for the program, so I wouldn't try and read anything from him getting snippy with a few outspoken (read: drunk) Vol fans on Twitter.

Not sure if I see Tennessee offering. My guess is that the coaches would have offered sometime in the summer if they thought he was a take. The Hurd connection was there and never taken advantage of then, so it seems unlikely now.

I don't know what the exact context was, but I really would not be surprised if it was more some idiotic Vol fan instigating Twitter drama with an 18 year old. If anything, that is the exact attitude we would be praising our recruits for if they spoke out against some idiotic Vandy troll.

The reality of this is he believed a coach who is a HUGE deceiver and salesman. I guarantee he told him to take shot at UT whenever he could. Plus, as a teenager, I did a ton of sh** that I probably shouldn't have done, so he probably just said my bad CBJ and all is good.

Exactly. Guarantee you these tweets, and others, were encouraged by the coach at Vandy. That's the kind of guy James Franklin is, a complete scumbag who encourages his recruits to act as he does, classless.

Nice. Heard Doug Matthews say this morning that he would be very surprised if UT takes any Vandy recruits/decommits, even if those recruits want to come aboard. The only one I'd maybe like to see Butch get is E Smith, and that's primarily to get his brother next year.

I know kids say dumb things, use poor judgment at times like this kid did with those tweets, just like Sawyer. But I'm a little soured on both those kids because of them and we have better options elsewhere IMO.

247 vandy mods having a hard time saying goodbye lol. Still got KJ Carta Samuels as a commit and he's been gone. Jashon Still listed too. When they drop them they are going to be in the 50s and this is just getting started lol.

Some kids are commited to coaches and not the schools. The new coach has every opportunity to re-recruit them ala Dooleys first class (sorry). They are de committing and thus fair game IMO.
