HC options

Petrino is & was a "leaver". Bruce Pearl would take the UT job right here, right now with no second thoughts. He loves the University & Knoxville. But, he WILL coach again some day & if not in Knoxville he will succeed elsewhere. Book it.

My understanding was he committed a number of violations while there.

None that im aware of. The school, nor Petrino were ever disciplined by the NCAA to the best of my knowledge either.

This. I will bet with anyone who wants to say that Pearl won't get another shot as an HC somewhere. Why not at UT? He would never leave and I just think the chances of NCAA trouble is minimal.

Have you ever left a job for a better one? That happens in America every single day. Nothing immoral or unethical about it.

Is it then acceptable to leave your employer in the middle of the night without telling any of your employees for another job? He is a POS and Louisville deserves whatever it gets.

But his NCAA and personal baggage is a lot worse than CBP's IMHO.

Pearl lied to the NCAA and created a huge mess for Tennessee. We would be asking for it to rehire him back. The NCAA might as well rent an office on campus because they'd look for a reason and if they ever got one, we'd be hammered twice as hard.

Again, what NCAA baggage? Personal baggage, sure, I get that.

The Petrino-Pearl comparison is apples to oranges though.

Pearl violated NCAA rules at Tennessee and was fired by Tennessee.

Petrino left Louisville on his own accord for a better job in a different league for more money. Louisville has rehired him

Wasn't, you tard. He wasn't given enough time.

You think Pearl was using UT as a stepping stone job? Obviously, no way to prove this one way or the other, but I would wholeheartedly disagree with you there. I think he was appreciative that UT gave him his first big time shot after being overlooked for years and he was staying in Knoxville. Tard.

Again, I'm not arguing his morality. But leaving the Falcons under the cover of darkness without notice isn't related to Louisville at all. Your argument has a major hole in it, in that none of his personal/professional misdeeds have any direct link to Louisville, unlike Pearl/Tennessee.

Explain your "understanding". I bet its incredibly impressive, articulate, and well thought out like most of the opinions the inbreds of volnation post.

Not sure what basis you have to put me in the inarticulate, inbred crowd. I'd be more than happy to compare educational backgrounds and intelligence anytime you want.
