'14 TN WR Josh Malone (UT commit 12/4/13)

From knowing Josh, he isn't the type to change his mind quick. If Clemson is playing from behind then I like I chances a lot. He is incredibly methodical. I can attest to this.

Is it classy for people in the community to push him to Tennessee and to harrass him if he didn't choose them? That happened and would have happened.

Look at it both ways. His friends and family knew where he was going and for all we know, he could have changed his mind at the last minute. Most of those people couldn't care less about him if he wasn't a football star, why does he owe them an explanation?

The Von Bell arguments were fun in February....not so much now.

Players don't get where they are without coaches, teachers and others in the community. If you think it's ok for him to lie to those people well that's your prerogative. I wouldn't teach my child to behave like that. Is it right for those people to push him? Absolutely not. But what's wrong with him keeping his mouth shut? Instead he lied. Hope he likes cold Ohio weather. Something tells me his community may not be there for him next time.

Edit: yes this is stupid. Sorry guys. My last post on the matter.

After what Butch and his staff have accomplished on the recruiting trail so far. J. Malone is a Vol. Zero doubt in my mind.

Don't apologize to most of the free-riders on here. I value your discussion and you were very civil about it and brought up good points. This site needs more people like you that actually brings up a discussion without getting too emotional. :hi:

We will agree to disagree:salute:

This guy grew up in SEC country. He's not going to choose to play ball against Wake Forest every week. He wants to be on CBS at 2:30. He wants to play rivalry games every week. He wants to go to the Georgia Dome and win an SEC title. He wants to burn the best defenses in the country and prove how good he is. SEC football is where it's at and it's not even close. The conference factor is too good and works in our favor here (just like i think it did for Marquez North). I would be much more worried if this was coming down to us and Georgia.

I think we're getting Josh Malone. It makes too much sense.

The Gaulden and Barnett connection leads me to believe he is a Vol. And we truly do need him. He changes the complexion of the offense, completely.

I just don't want to be upset, like we've grown accustomed to being, hahaha.

My understanding is that Josh lived in Virginia for several years before moving to Tennessee.

I'm sure he has friends on Clemson's team too. I doubt that really affects his decision at all. I mean the Alexander brothers went to 2 different schools.
