Good grief! I have to see it to believe it when it comes to Tennessee landing him. You would think being the one constant through his whole recruitment will pay off in the end but I still cant understand how in the world Clemson of all schools can become such a factor in such a short amount of time.

Clemson is a cool place to be for a college student :)

Not as cool as Ktown though.

I really liked the fact that we had the last visit.

Seems like he would tell the first team he isn't going there and then would spend the rest of the evening with his future coaches.

You've got a point there. Not sure why Clemson would have the last visit if he was going to be a Vol.

Pretty nervous about this one.

Has someone done the class calculator since the latest Booth de-commitment and Malone and Mosely prediction to be a Vol? Just curious to how this may change our Team Rankings. Thanks

Mosley would not impact the class point total with his current Rivals rating of 5.7

If you were to remove Booth, and insert Malone as a 6.1 #20 player, I have us at 2578 points.

That total would have been good for the #7 class in the country last year, the first year Rivals went to the current format.

See attached for the player by player breakdown. This is updated for the new Rivals100, will change further with the release of the Rivals250 update.

Congratulations to Josh on getting a 5th star. That's a lot of years of hard work paying off and something very few athletes can say they have achieved.

That said, I hope he takes his talents to Knoxville.

Awesome work.

Pretty much guaranteed a top 10 class.

Hoping we squeek into the top 5.

Wouldn't we still get bonuses from people like Medley? I thought they still count the bonus from low people who are still at the top of their position

I think we have a great shot at the #4 or #5 class in the country.

Pull a late stunner like Adoree? We could challenge for #2

No, bonus points are only awarded for players ranked in the Rivals250

Unfortunately, this also applies to players such as Blair & Pearson

am I crazy or did they not used to also have a bonus for ranking within the position?

Not sure on that.

I do know they used to only award bonus points to the Rivals100. Last year was the first year they awarded bounds points to the Rivals250 as well.

According to VQ UT is getting last visit tonight and Clemson during the day. According to Clemson Rivals they are getting last visit and UT during the day. haha

Guess we'll find out soon.
Are you sure? A poster on the Clemson board said that Clemson's coaches were getting the last visit.

I hope that you are right.

Just for clarification, could someone help me out with this new FA agreement deal?

Since Malone has signed with 4 schools, does that mean the 3 schools that miss out on him lose a spot in their respective recruiting class? Seems it would have to be that way if the agreement states that Malone is guaranteed a spot in each's signing class.

No

From his family:

"Josh is big on relationships and he does not like to tell anyone no about anything. He has relationships with coaches from each school and he is going to have to tell three schools no, that will be hard for him. He has to do it and he knows that, but that will not be easy for him."

"Josh has been keeping a journal from the beginning and that is so important now. After every visit, Josh would go to his journal and write about each conversation, how the visit was, and all of the important things so we could look at it now.

"This is truly a family decision," said Mrs. Malone. "It is something my husband and I have discussed on our own and we will discuss with Josh soon."Josh has his own thoughts and we have ours. We will be sitting down, bouncing things off of each other, breaking everything down on each school, and go from there."I am sure we will all agree on some things and disagree on other things. We all see things differently at times and each visit things have changed for us too."At the end of this, we want Josh to come to us with his choice and then we discuss it. We are not going to him with our choice, he will come to us."

"Of course it is nice to hear nice things about your son, but many coaches said the same things. The coaches said 'we want Josh and we need Josh' and I believed some and I didn't believe some."I believe some coaches and schools really need Josh and I believe some really want Josh. Those are different things and Josh recognizes that some, but me, my husband, and Josh's sister see those things too."Josh may be seeing or hearing one things and we may be hearing something different. We all paid close attention on the visits, when coaches talked to us, and we all gathered our thoughts throughout the process."
