i am with chavis on this one - for the life i can't understand SEC pride - i mean really, your going to chant SEC when your hated rivals win a national title, which leads them to get more resources to get more recruits that you won't get further marginalizing your program

No truer sentiment was ever uttered on Volnation. A Tn national championship wouldn't be worth any less to me if the entire sec were 0-12, impossible I know but you get the point

I think the idea behind it isn't to show disrespect towards Alabama but more just to take the focus off "Alabama" and all the emotions that might come with their name. Just allow the team to prepare like they would be any other week in the season and not get so worked up about the fact that it's Alabama week.

I think this is another great idea by CBJ. Alabama is unbeatable, unstoppable, insurmountable, legendary. The Red team not so much.

This. I hate that term bulletin board material. If you need a bulletin board or comments from the other team to motivate you to play and prepare your very best at this level, especially against the number 1 team and a long time rival, go home.
