Does not have a leader, tough decision but one he will be ready to make. It is not just a 4 year decision, but a life decision.

"It is really a business decision for me. I want to go to a school where I can play early, where I can build up a resume for the NFL, where I am very comfortable, and where I can feed off the school's alumni to help my future.

Wants the right people around him to prepare him for life, not just football. Loved his visit to Neyland. Had never heard the fand that loud. Enjoyed getting to know the coaches better and had fun hanging out with Dobbs. Likes the coaching staff at UGA and the offense they run. Likes coach Ball at UGA. Likes FSU's pass happy offense and like the college town atmosphere. Anticipating his visit there. Has a good relationship with Deshaun Watson at Clemson. Will consider UF, Ohio St, and Louisville for final official. His decision will be a difficult one. Will be relieved when decision is made, but does not want to second guess himself. Isn't sure what school he will attend but will know by Dec. 4

Wow, he actually gets it. This is exactly what EVERY recruit should be doing. Most kids will not go to the NFL, but if you play your cards right, you are still set for life with alumni contacts.

How many bosses on here wouldn't hire a former vol? Since his thinking is this clear, the best business decision is always the home state. We take care of our own. Which office at Pilot would you like Mr Malone?

....except for guys that we are recruiting out of state then it is ok to leave.

I commend Josh's systematic, analytical and mature approach to the decision-making process. However, several years of success by Butch, with particular emphasis devoted to instate recruiting, will, hopefully, render this approach obsolete. By then, every talented high school football player in the state should, once again, grow up dreaming of playing for the Big Orange. In that case, it will be a slam-dunk decision to sign the orange-tinted Letter of Intent.

Wow he is considering Louisville??? I can see the other schools but UL? Bridgewater will be gone. I think Malone is going to be a Vol so all these other schools are insignificant in the long term

Hate to admit this even to myself but if I was an elite wr prospect and wasn't a TN guy I'd prob hitch my wagon to Jameis for three years. Dude is a freak and Malone would catch enough from him to make it to the nfl easily. I hope Dobbs or ferg gets some quality pt at the end of the season to give prospects hope for the future.

Winston is a RS Fr. I see him staying no more than 2 years max, possibly going pro after next year if he keeps playing at the level he currently is.

No way. Unless he wins the heisman this year, and the nc the next year. I wouldn't put it past him tho. Dude is amazing so far. Malone will believe he will have 3 years to play with him and that's what matters

Distance from home will be a major factor for Malone. The three schools that are really being considered are Tennessee, UGA and Clemson.
Vol

Can't see how Malone would think that. If Jameis maintains a similar level of production next year, his measurables will ensure he is a top 10 pick. Only way he stays if he is injured and what's the point of Malone counting on that?

There's not many soph qb's declaring pro. It's not a given he will. Peyton manning.

Josh has been talking about Tennessee alot more since his visit. He wears his Tennessee lanyard now around school and places.

Everyone knows that lanyards are right behind cargos in terms of commitment level.

Serious about the first part.

Please please give me a 4 wide the next two years of: North, Pig, Pearson, and Malone. With Helm shredding LBs too. Man Alive. Why wouldn't a stud qb wanna throw to that?!

:lol lanyards and cargos.

We got him!!!

The person I speak with daily who is incredibly close to Josh said he definitely acts different when Tennessee is brought up. Before the visit he didn't say much about the Vols, but he does now. He keeps things so close to the vest. Trying to find out more than his lanyard choice, but I hate asking him questions when he is around. He is so kind and soft spoken about it that you hate to bother him with it.

During the Gallatin game JM caught a jump ball in the endzone I was standing in. I was within 10 feet of him during this catch and I'm confident I've never seen anyone jump that high before (in person).
