When asked if Carta-Samuels and Dillon Van der Wal would still be playing tomorrow, Franklin replied: "All statements have been made from the University at this time".

Smh....

Unbelievable the lack of national coverage this has gotten but a guy with a wife and kid taking $1,350 GIVEN to him is run all over the place.

PISSES ME OFF.

He just keeps proving to be a bigger and bigger POS.

Agreed.

Big picture, I think the Vandy game in November is solidly in the win column. This is a terrible tragedy and the longer it goes on, the more players seem to be implicated. It's unreal. They may not have much a team by the time they roll into town.

The Auburn and Mizzou games may determine whether we make a bowl (unless we have a major upset in the coming weeks). And I think Mizzou has been less than impressive so far. My early take is their RB, Henry Josey, is overrated. Indiana on the road and Arkansas State at home will be very interesting to watch...

Not sure this is true. The Vandy story is mentioned in almost every national article about "scandals in the SEC." And the New York Times ran a piece on the Vandy story about a week ago or less.

This thing is in the press big time.

I must have missed that, either way it is disgusting.

It's gotten so little coverage because Vandy is a nothing program that no one cares about. But, yeah, you're right: it is detestable.

You're probably right. I have to admit I'm speaking out of term, but I know that ESPN has not talked about it much. Have they even addressed it?

Ya know, when Kiffin went to USC, and started recruiting like an absolute beast, even with sanctions, I thought he was going to win championships there, and make a mockery of the whole probation and loss of scholarships.

Man... the devil came to collect quicker than we thought, huh?

It has to be a huge distraction to the players and coaches too. Imagine prepping to play USCe this week and hearing that your coach might get charged with covering up a rape. I agree, this will probably just continue going from bad to worse, and Vandy is going to end up with a huge black eye.

Has anyone seen the text that were shown at court today? Boyd looks to be pretty involved in them. It makes it seem like he probably did more than erase a video.

How can they do that to Joe Paterno (and yes, it probably helped kill him) and this is being treated like it's no big deal?

This too...
