Breaking Bad on amc

I have been watching the show since it premiered. It caught my eye as I was flipping through the channels the night the first pilot episode aired. I have watched loyally since that night. Blind luck that I got hooked on this show.

I don't know how you managed to not go crazy. I started last year and got caught up in a marathon fashion. Having to wait just one year was tedious!

I'm kinda neutral. I sorta want hank dead though. Not sure. I want skylar and the kids safe.

I thought I wanted Hank dead but the shootout scene left me conflicted. His job is to put away the dealers and he is just performing his duties. Walt calls in nazi hitmen to do his dirty work? If Hank does go out (I don't think he will) I hope he takes a couple with him. Gomie is likely a goner and that's too bad since he was pretty funny

Who is rooting for Walt? I know I shouldn't, but I just can't help it. I pull for the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera as well.

I know I've said this in here before but I don't get being able to root for Walt after the incidents with Brock and Jesse's gf before that, whose name escapes me at the moment.

Im rooting for walt still because of how and why hes here. He was given an end date and decided screw morality. He would provide for his family no matter what it took. And he did. He is the walking proof if the quote (t.s. eliot i think. I cant look it up now. Para phrased of course)

"We cannot know how far we can go until we go too far."

Jane. So who are you rooting for? Why?

I don't know that I'd say I'm "rooting" for anybody at this point in time because the ending I was hoping for wouldn't exactly put him in the right but as I said earlier in this thread I was hoping for a "Jesse kills Walt" end to the story. Seriously doubt it will happen but that would be ideal and feel the most in line with the show still. I'd be okay with Walt going down in cuffs too but that would seem way too boring for this show.

I think there are several endings that would fall in line with the Breaking Bad motif. I will revise my opinion of the "rooting" question. I am still rooting for Walt, but I want the ending that will keep with the style of the series as well as throwing in a twist. If Walt ultimately losing is the vehicle to accomplish this, I'm on board.

I'm still rooting for Jesse because I think he's the only one that has come close to realizing what horrible things they've done. He's the only one who has shown remorse for actions he has taken. Granted at this point he is fueled by revenge more so than any sense of justice for Walt, but still.

Walt deserves to die. He's done things for his family, but that doesn't excuse his actions. Plus to me even doing things "for his family" he almost makes kind of a game. Deep down it's the power he wanted; his family ended up being a convenient excuse to do it.

I wouldn't want Hank to die, but he's still kind of a jackass. He is doing his job, and he's obviously good at it, but he still rubbed me the wrong way when he showed little regard for Jesse's life. Even Gomez showed more concern for Jesse than him.

Todd and his band of Nazis need to die O'Doyle style from Billy Madison; driving away from the shootout, car hits a banana peel, spins out, flips, and explodes, killing everyone.

Pretty much exactly how I feel about all three of those characters.

Jesse is a POS...he shouldve just gotten out when he could. He spits on Walt and yells come on ***** while Walt is handcuffed....gimme a break. He knew what he was getting into, he was a dealer, manufacturer before Walt came along. Not exactly a honorable occupation, lol.

He was a small time, nothing piece of crap dealer and manufacturer. Miles away from being an honorable occupation but far from being responsible for mass murder over the last couple of years. Plus, I don't think anybody has argued that Jesse isn't a POS but again, he is the only one to at least show any remorse about it at all. To me, he's the least reprehensible person in a show full of nothing but reprehensible people.

As opposed to poisoning a child, watching a girl he knows his "friend" loves die, and sending in an old lady to check on assassins?

Jesse is no angel but he's a saint compared to Walt; as I said at least he shows some remorse for what they've done, Walt couldn't give a crap.

I just saw on Twitter that the "Better Call Saul" spinoff is a go. It's a prequel to BB; which means Saul can still bite the dust.

Not sure how I feel about this.

It better have a great story or some outstanding characters to complement Saul. It will need something to make it unique. I'm usually suspect of spin offs.

It would be interesting though if at some point they show his original run in with Mike and how they ended up working together. But something that still makes it work within it's own story.

Don't get me wrong... I'm sure I'll watch it but I'm not wild about the Saul spinoff.

I feel like Saul is one of those characters whose wonderful in a supporting roll but get so popular they overdo him and ruin the character.

Basically the Tickle series in a nutshell. Think tv can learn from that mistake. I'll give it a try, but my expectations won't be very high. Prove me wrong approach.

Gilligan is not writing the material but he will play an integral part.

What's really exciting about the prequel is that we will most likely get more information on some key characters; Mike and Gus for example.
