Seems like Jones has a patient attitude with the passing game. This suggests to me that Jones will be slow in making any major changes in the line-up without clear cause.

Edit: Strikes me that managing winning performances is not cause.

From ESPN Stats and Info: UGA avg 8.3 yds per play with Clowney on field Saturday. 2.8 ypp when he was off. There goes that Heisman.

I don't think there's any denying Worley hasn't looked all that great and has struggled more often than he's looked good. All I was asking was how much longer can you go on with a qb that has had plenty of opportunities but isn't getting the job done before you need to yank him.

You want to start a true freshman in his first game AT OREGON? Or AT FLORIDA?

Clowney is a clown. I've never seen a player that hyped before. So what if they double or triple team him. Still a clown.

Questioning the defense is warranted, but that shouldn't take away from their performance today. We're improving and its noticeable but we've played Austin Peay and Western Kentucky. Improving from last year is akin to a cornerback running a 5.2 40 when he ran a 6 flat last year.

I'm celebrating and enjoying it while I can, because a storm is gathering in the form effing Donald Duck on the horizon...

FWIW. though...Sutton looks like he's REALLY going to be good. :)
Honestly I don't think the Ducks are going to blow us out. I believe we're going to ball with them. Offensively I say Butch opens up the Playbook. If we can manhandles that defense its going to be interesting.

I really think Clowney has been advised not to hurt himself, since he's basically a guaranteed top 5 pick. He's a non factor.

Speaking of croom has he been productive enough in areas other than receptions to stay in his current role???

From what I have seen I expect to see his role diminish if he doesn't pick up his game.

From what I've seen he's definitely one of the better blockers. If not for a PI last week he would've had a td and unfortunately the drop today would've likely been a td as well. Who do you think would play in his place if his role diminished?

Who knows about the advice he's received, but you're right: he is a non-factor. Honestly, I see Florida, South Carolina, and UGA as good opportunities for upsets this year. Oregon...I expect a loss, but I hope I'm wrong.

I think we are in for a wild year in the SEC. I have no idea who will come out on top of each division. Also think every SEC team will have at least 1 loss and the league won't be represented in the national title game unfortunately.

I'm starting to think LSU is a juggernaut this year. They have looked very good so far. We will see.

Agree. We may not win but I don't see us getting embarrassed.

I think it's LSU's year. As much as I hate to say it. I hate Les Miles, but I'd pull for him over Saban any day of the week.

WKU pulled within 2 TDs. That's not really pressure. Will be interesting to see how the players respond in the clutch if the game stays close next week.

Where did I say that?

You advocated for "yank"ing Worley. I assume you would replace him with another QB, or no?

No big deal. I'm going to have a few more drinks and enjoy the hell out of being 2-0 for as long as I can. My Vols took it to Petrino today, and that makes me happy.

That's a very good question. Someone smarter than me will have to tell me who he is competing for playing time against but right now I see north, smith, Johnson, and howard all ahead of him.

I think Jacob Carter, Vincent Dallas, and Paul Harris are the options we would have to choose from. My guess would be in that order.

Aren't 3 of them slot receivers? Still need outside guys. It would be Carter, Blanc, and Harris challenging him for time.

Edit: Good one jjay - Dallas is a good one.

Michigan QB just pulled an "Erik Ainge" in the Notre Dame end zone resulting in a ND TD.
