I with BB. Mainly just bc I can't stand how people put Bama on this unbeatable level. They've got more talent than just about anybody, but Saban only has 1 undefeated season at Bama. He still finds ways to lose ball games. He's just benefiting from the SEC being so strong, so he still gets to the NC and beats whatever drastically outmatched team they throw in there against him.

You have a good time at the game? Looked like a lot cleared out in the 3rd quarter. Did it feel like you were watching a completely different team like it did for me on TV? I think this will be a fun team (and coaching staff) to watch as the season unfolds.

Ya it was a blast. Defense looked world's better. They were swarming to the ball and running hard every snap. Neal still looked afraid to smash someone. Worley looked bad to me, didn't throw one totally accurate pass.

I actually don't think Saban is the best coach in CFB. Best recruiter is probably more like it.

On the (current and recent past) college level, Jim Harbaugh, David Shaw, and Chris Peterson are all probably better Xs and Os guy.

Saban is absolutely top 10 though. And that combined with an insane level of talent means they're the best team in the country.

Alabama got Dominated whipped and b
Embarrassed up front. They are not unbeatable.

And Va Tech's 3rd string RB made it look easy and that was without a competent QB.

Logan Thomas is the worst D1 QB I've seen since Reggie Ball

Bama is primed for a 2-3 loss season (which is still a good yr)

I would have thought as big of a recruiting follower you would understand those are one in the same.


Just keeping up here: in your opinion Dabo, sumlin, and a guy that's coached 1 game at Oregon will develop their teams this year at the same rate or higher than Saban??

:) man Sumlin developed his team in a new system faster than Saban. I guess you'll come up with some excuse for that too. Just like Saban had more talent but was OUT COACHED by Sumlin last year and Utah his second year(was embarrassed after his 30 day prep period).

Of the three you have mentioned no doubt sumlin has the most chance to rival Saban and his success but one game/season proves nothing.

The other 2 you mentioned are Laughable!!


Should I bring up some of Dabo's shining moments???? It's a lengthy list

Not to mention Sumlin being OUTCOACHED by Sonny Dykes and a 4-2 WAC team last year

Sumlin did have the most talented player in the country last year.
