Would you tell me what thread that was in I would like to read the fabrication of mine?

Basically pick a thread, go to the baseball forum, close your eyes and pick a thread. You have made some absolutely ridiculous accusations/comments about our baseball coach....who is a damn fine coach. Your accusations from what I can see generally end up being complete bull****. You obviously don't see it that way, I do. We'll just agree to disagree and that's that.

I will say this....do I have a track record of questioning "inside info" on here? No I don't. I don't bring it, I appreciate it when people do. But I DO in fact question your motives. If Peterman ends up being the starter, I'll pull like hell for that kid. He's a highly talented player with much upside. But if your info from your "source" doesn't prove to pan out, will you take that as a chance to smear the coach? Your track record actually says.....YES! Carry on with the conversation, it's not right for us to flood this thread with our junk. Again, I just call it how I see it........BRO

Yeah I agree. I think he's probably a better football player than Brent Brewer is right now. Wouldn't be surprised if he finds a way into the starting lineup at some point this year.

Yep, reminds me of a Eddie Moore/Eric Westmoreland type.

It speaks to both in my opinion. Dallas is one of the only receivers with experience, and yet he is still not able to solidify a role on the offense. The young ones must be coming along well for Coach Jones to have the confidence to make that kind of move.

Although you're right. Corner is a bare cupboard these days.

I wish VD would have been at DB since he was a freshman. I never thought he was capable of being an SEC caliber receiver. But he's athletic enough to give usgood depth at corner. Gotta find some nasty though.

and he also goes from a mid-sized to small WR to a good sized CB as well. Agree with this.

How in the hell is discussing who will start at a position that hasn't had a starter named yet, smearing the coaching staff???

Ignorance at its finest

I will be glad when this "hoping a freshman starts" stuff is no longer needed in a couple of years

Bruin likes to stir pot but let's be honest Worley doesn't make any of us too confident. It was unfortunate that neither freshman enrolled early.

IMO, this is CJF's doing. He is thinking ahead and having the chics on campus who are OK with being "next" branded so the football team knows who is in play and who is not. If they don't have the stamp, don't call in your buddies. TIFWIW.

At the risk of starting the crybabies over on their complaints about one joke out of fifty, I'd like to say keep making comments. I personally love dark humor, George Carlin, Louis C.K., Anthony Jeselnick, Tosh, etc.

If something is funny, it is. If someone is offended, they can stop reading. If people have problems, they should read the book Laughter out of Place, where a mother and her two daughters joke about them being gang raped not even a few weeks after it happened, and psychologists and professors then explain why it's not only normal to joke about dark things, but helpful.

I'm not anti-Worley but I'm pretty sure he will handcuff Butch's system some because he will not be able to effectively run the read option. That's why I think we will look up and realize we are running a two-QB system at some point this season...just not sure who the second guy will be

Taking a stab at my 2 deep on defense as it stands. Kinda thinking out loud. Let me know where you think I'm wrong.

DLine: Corey Miller (Latroy Lewis), Mccullers (O'Brien), Couch (Hood), Marlon Walls (Jordan Williams)
Linebackers: Maggit (King), AJ Johnson (Fugate), Sapp (Brewer)
Corners: Justin Coleman (Malik Foreman), Cam Sutton (Toney.. .could end up being Dallas)
Safeties: Brian Randolph (Byron Moore), Ladarrell McNeil (Max Arnold??)

I will be very surprised if 2 guys don't play a lot and maybe even 3 before its over.

One of the guys in your 2 deep is leaving the program.

Fugate left the team. and I think King ends up at MLB, but thats JMO.

I think the scrimmage tonight and next week will be telling. The coaches have to start concentrating on who they're gonna go with and start fine tuning. Important next few practices for guys wanting to step up, IMO.

Thanks for dragging this one back out

Fugate is wanting to transfer so I doubt he's in the 2-deep. Bynum is. Brewer and Maggitt play same spot.

Michael Williams is backup CB behind Sutton currently.

The DB situation is a little tricky because the nickel position is specialized...they are looking for a certain type of guy there...right now Toney seems to be the guy leading the way. I wish there was a way to get all three safeties on the field at the same time

Yeah I had Bynum originally and then changed it to Fugate. I realized I hadn't heard anything about him in a while and just assumed he was quietly going about his bizz Austin Johnson style.

And yeah I've heard the name Michael Williams bouncing around a lot recently, but I don't remember ever seeing him actually play. I know Toney is pushing more for the nickel spot, but I figured he was in the mix at corner too (especially today). I kinda like his game.
