Everyone was waiting on Mansell's pick to fall in line at247. It's clear he has someone very close if not source himself to tip scale like that. Callahan is too scared to go on a limb so you know source must be pretty legit

DaVonte Lambert is scheduled to announce on Tuesday and while up until Thursday a good number of people have speculated Florida would be the choice, if you paid attention to Volquest throughout the last several weeks we continued to say the Vols were a very real factor in this race and heading into the last few days before his scheduled announcement between Florida, Auburn and the Vols we continue to think Tennessee is worth paying attention to here.

Bold part means they already have the commitment story written. Vol.

Lambert on his three finalists:

•Florida: “I like the way Florida trains its players like the NFL. It’s totally different than every other school, like the drills and everything. They basically get drills from the NFL, and just do them. That’s not something I see at every school. That’s the main thing about Florida.”
•Auburn: “I like (former UGA assistant) Rodney Garner, and the way he coaches his players. He just has a special bond with his players unlike I’ve seen with any other coach so far. That’s kind of different.”
•Tennessee: “With Tennessee, the bond between the players is different than anyone. They basically treated me like family up there.”

“But I’m trying to look at schools where I can come in and help win games, rather than going in right away with a school that already has top defensive linemen. I’m trying to come in and help people.” Note: If anybody is thinking about criticizing Lambert, they should know every recruit looks at college depth charts.

The 4-star from Georgia Military junior college will decide between Florida, Auburn, and Tennessee on Aug. 13.

Depth charts should be the #1 concern if your a Juco kid looking at schools. You have a very small window to get on the field and make an impact if playing pro ball is your ultimate goal. Alot of kids may not admit they take it into consideration, but they all do. It's just smart business.
