I don't think anyone's thinking anything different about the crystal ball stuff. The criticism has been how they can constantly change their predictions on a whim. I think the reason for excitement here is that he's announcing in 5 days, so a change in predictions usually means word has gotten out. And also the fact that Mansell changed his pick from UF to UT.

Hubbs and Forty were not privy to as much insider info when Dooley was here so I think people began to ignore what they said or at least take it with a grain of salt. Butch and co have clearly kept the VQ guys in the loop more. They know a lot more now.
