'14 CA CB Adoree' Jackson (Signed with USC)

They'd pull a Saban and tell a kid to wait for this kid here. He's as athletic as any prospect in the country regardless of position....

People keep tossing that line out there about random recruits but the fact is we're probably going to have to back off some talented kids.

I don't think that Jackson is one of those just because of his ridiculous athleticism but the kids we're recruiting at DB are all really good and at some point I wonder whether the marginal difference is really that significant.

Prediction from ESPN's Hot Board.

The Trojans will need to fend off a charge from out-of-state programs such as Notre Dame and LSU, but the local school likely has a slight advantage at this point because there are several former Serra standouts currently on the roster. That rests entirely on USC's season in 2013 -- a duplicate of the 2012 showing will almost certainly send Jackson elsewhere, and crosstown rival UCLA could be the beneficiary.

Butch is taking care of business locally and in the surrounding regions that's got to carry a lot of weight with an out of state kid like Jackson...we may not get him but it can't hurt that we are tops in the rankings recruiting wise.

“I doubt I’m going to be able to make it to all those schools (for unofficials).* I’m just trying to visit the local ones… Michigan, Notre Dame, Illinois and Tennessee.* That’s pretty much the local ones that I can get to.* I doubt I will get all the way around.* I’m not even planning on doing all that.* I just want to enjoy my little break while I can and if times allows, I’ll go see the schools.”

How are we local? Thought he is in CA?

I won't get fired up about this kid much until he visits. I still think he ends up at usc if they are decent at all this year.

since he wants to run track i have to think uf has a decent shot coach holloway is one of the best in the country muschamp hasnt been too bad at coaching db's up either

Five-star cornerback prospect Adoree' Jackson (Gardena, Calif./Serra) released his top ten this week with Florida, Florida State, Illinois, LSU, USC, UCLA, Michigan, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Oklahoma State still standing. The 5-foot-11,185-pound two-sport budding star has long been thought to be locked into staying on the west coast at the end of the day since moving to the area from Illinois, but we continue to hear that Florida and Florida State are more than in the hunt to land the uber-athletic prospect. Michigan is also in the hunt moreso than some others in the top 10, but track is expected to play a key role in the decision making process with the southern schools standing the best chances long term to get him to leave home. There is one west coast source that believes this recruitment may well come down to Florida, Florida State and USC.

You mix that in with the other quotes and it makes for a pretty muddled composition. No one knows what he's going to do.

i have never heard of a shot coach.

Shot put.. he's really strong for 185 lbs

Rod Wilks was going to be his coach I heard, but they were going to have to change the name to metric ton put. Just didn't seam to flow as well as shot put so he's now working to becoming an astronaut.
