I was talking to a UT receiver's dad last night, and he thinks we r in trouble at qb. Said a lot of the guys are waiting for Dobbs, to see what he can do. He said the new offensive scheme is great though.
We are more in trouble at WR than we are at QB. A QB is only as good as the WR's they are throwing to. We need Croom healthy, Harris, Bowles and Pig to step up then North and Jenkins to catch on quickly. Blanc will be a good, posession type guy for us much like Carter but we need these 4* guys to step it up, we definitely have potential at WR. I do think Dobbs or Ferguson can come in and push for PT, especially Dobbs.
100% not true.
Not true, give Peyton Manning one off season, he can turn an average receiver into a great receiver. Timing and familiarity may be all they need. Thinking too much imo.

Actually very true. Did you not read about the lack of WR's the QB's had to throw to because of injuries or guys like Bowles who are struggling with drops and the playbook? With everyone here and healthy our WR's have potential to be great. But this spring the QB's had zero help from the WR's and TE's.
We recruited poorly at QB before the 2013 class. All everyone kept saying was to trust Chaney's QB evaluations... Now we are stuck with sub par QB play.
I read everything. Your argument doesn't make your statement true. Injuries were a big part of the problem. Both positions need a lot of work, but the QBs were borderline bad. Part of that is definitely the receivers being inconsistent, learning a new system, etc. However, there were some awful, awful throws at the O&W game when receivers were open.
QB is our worst position right now.
WR is our second worst.
How about we actually let them have more than a few months in a brand new system in their first year with a chance to start before saying we are stuck with subpar qb play

Agreed. I think once all the receivers get on campus and get healthy it will help immensely. Plus getting a couple new TE's in will help as well. But I am still excited to see all 5 QB's go at it and see how it plays out. I have really pulled for Peterman to win it as he seems the better fit of the 2 but maybe Dobbs, Ferg or even High could be better fits. Will be fun to watch it play out, its been a few years since we had a QB battle.]
How about all of us couch sittin' beer drinkin' loud yappin' not on the football team "players" just keep our mouths shut and let the coaches and team play.
I see all of us (sometimes myself included) whine and complain on here about this and that, yet we aren't on the team. 99% of us dream about playing/coaching, yet we couldn't even cut it in pee wee league. Just shut up and quit arguing. Half of you clutter up threads about recruits with all of your garbage nonsense talk. Go to the "I hide behind my computer screen but I am a better coach than ???? or a better player than ????" thread and chat it up in there.
So let's let the coaches coach, the players play, and us watchers watch.
