I was wondering everyone's realistic thoughts on us landing Hurd. It seems everywhere I am reading pretty much has him as a OSU lock. I still have faith in CRG and CBJ because there is still a lot of time left. I wonder if this season's win/loss record will have a major impact on his decision?

To call anyone a lock this early in the game is extremely premature.

No comparison to AP. I think the 2 closest guys right now in college football that are close to AP's level are Yeldon and Gurley. You could even throw Hill from LSU in there as well.

And they are still not on the level AP was on at Oklahoma. The guy is a true freak. AP reminds me of Herschel... with just the way he bullies defenders.

Ive been going to this class for the past 7 weeks at a couples house in Sumner county around Beech. I Always saw that the son played for Beech but I never talked to the kid. Tonight I got the chance to talk to him and he was actually a starter for Beech and played for with Hurd every game and are good buddies. So I asked him what Hurd thought about the Vols, He said he hated CDD, shocking, but he loved Butch. Also said that he wasn't happy that CJG left last week and cancelled another trip for spring practice because of it.Said OSU leads and that Vandy still being in the mix was a shocker to him. Also said he wouldn't go to Bama because he doesn't want to compete with so many players for the job. The way he talked honestly didn't sound to good for us, but there is alot of time to go, lets just hope CRG can get a good relationship with the kid. Just passing on the little tid bit of info. Probably the only info ill ever have, don't kill the messenger.
