Would we have rather had Jay stay and not feel comfortable? Cant imagine that would have made the job easier.

Tennessee needs to do something to get rid of the voodoo curse. I blame Hambone, Hart, Kiffin, and Dooley. It's going to take a lot of chickens to fix that much broken mojo.

We matched it, Jay rolled out. Doesn't matter anyways. We need a big hire. Luckily, we have time to make up ground with Hurd.

Honestly besides North who did Graham get? He flopped with D Green, D Henry, and C Lawson... Will we miss him yes, but we will be fine

Lol he was recfuiting for a school with two losing seasons in a row. Getting ANY good out of state player is a feat.

Sounds logical to me. CJG was our best recruiter and was all over the 2014 class. To top that Derrick Green was ours this year had Dooley not tanked us like he did. CJG would have landed us a top five RB all we had to do was win 7-8 games and be competitive.

Yet, CJG has never, aside from Lattimore, landed a top running back .. Great recruiter, but just because he's gone doesn't mean we won't be able to get a top RB. We didn't while he was here.

And no, Derrick Green loved Michigan. Stop blaming Dooley for everything.

All these hypothetical situations y'all like to bring up are pointless.

Well you tell me who's to blame for two back to back 5-7 seasons? Even tho Ole Miss just proved you can win big in recruiting with a mediocre record. Dooley deserves more blame them he gets. Him and Hamilton have torn down UT football so bad that posters think Vandy is a rival now. Facts are, you can be blind and sit and act like CJG wasn't going to do anything special here, but he landed half the offensive class this year by himself. CJG is a well respected and rhought of coach. CJG simply took more money and a easier job in FSU and said I'm out. I'm sure he, like many logical Vol fans, see that our head people aka Hart and Cheek want to live on hopes and dreams. You pay to win. I think CBJ will be a good coach for us but you have to help him by paying the money to get top assistant coaches here or in CJG case keep them here.
