Going into Saturday's game, I'd feel quite confident in a home victory if Bruce were still at the helm. I haven't given up on Cuonzo yet, but I'll be anxiously keeping my fingers and toes crossed. Even sans Noel, the Evil One is still likely to out-coach the Cuonz.

It's not like Bruce was setting the world on fire against Calipari when he was here either. Further, this team would have a real hard time scoring points if Jesus was coaching them. Cuonzo has yet to really impress this year, but next year will tell the tale. If he can't win with the lineup he will have, he isn't worth keeping.

He lost a job he loved and left us with no major violations.....I think he kicked himself in the nuts not us.

To some extent you're right, but you can't minimize the impact of forcing a coaching transition.

Assuming Maymon can go and doesn't leave for turkey or whatnot

You think we would have escaped the wrath of the 'AA if he had stayed? If you do, I have some nice property in a certain landlocked western state in which you might be interested. Message me for details.

Even if he can't, you still bring in Hubbs. He is an option this team just doesn't have right now.

We have yet to see Hubbs play at this level. I'll wait and see. If he can score against D1 schools, and Maymon is here at 100%, then Cuonzo better win and make the tourney

I'm just laughing at the people who think we're going to hire Bruce the minute his show cause runs out. We know AlaskaVol has a pedigree of stupidity but the list is growing quickly.

Not saying its going to happen but there will be a large public outcry for him if we don't start winning big games and make the tourney. People want wins now. If he comes and loses I guarantee that his head will be on the chopping block in one year.

This is sort of like having a guy kick you in the nuts and then congratulating him on how good his form was.

Well said.

Bruce was/is an a$$, I've said that from day one. Glad he's gone, what a snake.

Lots of diff. opinions.

I enjoyed him on the court and face to face.
He made a mistake......and didn't own up to it.
I'm sorry he had to go, but he had to go.

He knew he screwed up.... He still appreciates the job that UT gave him..... (that he did well at)

he LOVES basketball, even more than I do.

I have no hard feelings and I don't think he does...

Best part of Pearl was he seemed to always pull out those big W's. I don't think we win tomorrow. Cal will out coach Cuonzo, and even without Noel, UK still has way more talent. Sorry guys but it's true. UK has shooters and we do not.

please, this uk team is nothing special

That took us to the Dance every year, and almost to the final four, but yeah, things are going great right now... :p

That may have been the case, but I worked with him, so thus my opinion. From a fans point of view, I can see why people liked him.

Bruce is a coach who built his reputation on doing more with less. Jesus was a carpenter. Cuonzo's more like an apprentice.

I would love to match knowledge and reasoning with you anytime numbnuts. You seem to like losing.

Bruce is a business man and like most business men he's only worried about one thing and that's Bruce. Sure he loves UT reason being is because he saw UT as a place that he'd never be fired from for the next fifteen years if he followed the rules. I'm sure he likes 3 mill a year over a 10-15 year period. I'm sure he will wear all the orange paint man can make and would go naked down Fulmer Drive for 3 mill a year. At the end of the day, Bruce was worried about Bruce. He sure wasn't worried about us or he'd never put us in the situation he put us in. He'd sure wasn't worried about us or he would have had some integrity and represented UT with class and discipline. Bruce was worried about Bruce. Bruce just wanted to make sure his yacht and young girlfriend were well taken care of and he saw UT as the provider of that cost. Call him a VFL I call him a business man that was worried about making money and having a great time.

You may be correct, but U.T. also made a profit from him being the coach.

More seats in TBA! More souvenirs being sold. Better air time on t.v., rather than our game tucked away at an odd time on Fox Sports South, we had prime time ESPN.

This all added $$ to U.T., of course some of it went to Bruce's salary and performance bonuses. However; U.T. basketball was finally profitable, after years of not making much profit......

I wander how many likes I can get for saying the word Pearl. Yaw should support the coach or team that we have. JMO

Bruce isn't gonna be here next year, and the you truly believe he is just makes you look beyond ignorant. I can understand the love for him, and people wishing he was here, but most realize that's simply not going to happen.

I consider myself a VFL but a yacht and a young gf sounds pretty freaking awesome to me.
