That can always change. If one Member of the staff leaves, they can always shift the coaches around.
The blame Dooley excuse shouldn't work for Sal. Dooley had a lot of faults but the defense was fine when Wilcox was running it. It's when Sal took over that the defense was the worst I've ever seen at UT, by FAR.
The effectiveness of a real excuse is NEVER tethered to whether it is true or not. It is only dependent on the conviction and appearance of sincerity of the person giving it. In fact, one of the ways you can usually tell an "excuse" from a "reason" is that excuses tend to have some element of untruthfulness.
