Bottom line is that it's nice to have a hometown kid that we can all be proud of. I wish him every success no matter where he choses to go.

But I sure hope it's UT.

Looks to me like there are a bunch of people genuinely interested in what is going on with the Vols and the recruits, and then there are a bunch of a-holes on here that make a negative comment about other people's posts. I am inclined to take Big Al at his word. Doesn't mean he has an in with Vonn, just sharing what he has heard. If nobody posts till they have rock solid, infallible concrete info, 98% of the posts on here would be eliminated. Maybe 99.

Thanks #1Volfaninmo for that,I wanted to say something about like that but figured it was a waste of time. I too appreciate info thats put on this board whether its fact or fiction from several posters. VFL...

If we impress this weekend ,with what I have heard VB will be a Vol come NSD. That's my opinion based what I have heard from others close to the situation. He likes UT, has been a fan along time.

Like I said earlier, he is the future. If he comes to UT it will be a major boost for the program. If he goes to Bama then UT will be a whipping boy for some time to come. When you can not get kids to like your program that grew up in it then something terrible is wrong.

It is not about his future either. His future is NFL which ever school he picks. If fact, he has a better chance at UT shutting down that sophomore WR at Bama next year.

Maybe it's just me but I am 0% proud of Donta Hightower, etc.. If he goes to Alabama, I hope he stays healthy and plays poorly. Sorry, not sorry.

Well, that's on you. He's from my hometown, he's a great kid, and I want him in orange. But I hope for him and his family he does well wherever they choose.

This is from TI last night. I still think we get Bell in the end.

DB Vonn Bell -- Visited Alabama last weekend. Great visit. Will visit Tennessee this weekend. Has also visited Ohio State. Alabama is the favorite for the Rossville-Ridgeland, GA star heading towards his NSD morning announcement.

I agree, Itavius Mathers is from my home town. He decided to go to Ole Miss. If that's what he thinks is best for him cool but I'm not cheering for him. If he has a great career fine, if he doesn't fine. I don't really care.

"She said she was really impressed with how coach Jones handled himself," Bell offered. "It was real big they usually come and talk about football, but it's all about building a relationship and being comfortable with them and it's all about being a family. That's one thing I'm looking for throughout this whole thing is a family atmosphere."

"I'm not really looking for any answers this weekend. I'm going to ask the players questions, how they treat the players. But, it's going to be a real good weekend to see how I feel," Bell said. "We're going to go to a basketball game and see how that goes. I'm going to be out with the players and I'll be with them most of the time so we'll see how the atmosphere is."

"I know everybody up there. Everybody up there is family and I know they're going to take care of me and it's going to be a real good weekend," Bell said.

"You can't really say that right now. Everybody is dead even right now. But, after the visit I will be making some changes after that," Bell offered. "I haven't really thought about it, but after this Tennessee visit I'm going to have an answer," Bell said.

That sounds very promising.

Kid just seems like he wants to be a Vol. Saban and Meyer are two of the best and wont make it easy on him but in the end I think he goes with his heart.
