'13 GA DE Carl Lawson (Auburn commit)

I thought all coaches were supposed to be "tireless recruiters" by the nature of their job descriptions and compensation. If you are going to be "the best staff in America" you better be more than a tireless recruiter.

All the love for coaches doing a portion of their jobs they are supposed to do is sickening to me. These guys are getting paid big bucks and so far they are doing what they are supposed to do. If they nail down a top 15 or better class then they deserve some extra atta boys, but not until.

You mad bro?

If Butch hasn't used his in home, which I don't think he has, Carl Lawson will commit tomorrow or whenever he visits. All arrows point to that. His dad not wanting his recruitment to go till signing day, all the momentum. Butch will seal the deal

Butch has already used his visit.

I have a horrible feeling that if he visits the barn, he'll stick with them.

He still hasn't decommitted, they get the last visit and you know they'll throw everything they have at him.

"Nobody here as any idea what his intentions are. He is nowhere close to being a Tiger as he is a Vol. sounds like things went well, just let it play out."

Head coaches only get one visit. It can be at school, for breakfast, lunch, or at home at night. It all counts as one visit and Jones has used his.

I sure hope that Uzzi is right on this one. We have been building momentum with Lawson for so long now that to not get him would just be a huge blow.

If you can only see a recruit at the school, or the house, didn't saban stop by Vonn's school to see "other '14 recruits", and then use his in home with Bell the same night?

Or is that part of the bump rule?

He is right about us having no idea and just to chill and let it play out either way.

If that's the case then CBJ was at Milton to see Barber and "bumped" into Lawson.

I was thinking the same thing.

I still feel like we have a great shot though. I liked all the recruits holding up #1 in the photos. I feel like Butch has done everything that he could possibly do to get some of these big name guys. Time will tell.

If we're still getting one last in home, I like our chances. I personally wouldn't want UT in my face again in that short amount of time unless I pretty much had my mind made up to commit to them.

"It was great visit," Lawson said. "I learned how great their fans are and how big the city is. They have so much tradition there and a great history. You can just see it everywhere you look. It's a valuable program."

"I love all of their former players," Lawson said. "Sure I know who Reggie White is, but they have such a great history here. You can see it."

Lawson spent time with Tennessee head coach Butch Jones and the top Vol made it clear that Lawson is very important to his inaugural recruiting class.

"I get a good feeling with coach Jones," Lawson said. "He's a really good guy and he's won everywhere he's been. He's a cool guy and I feel like he relates well to the players."

He also said that it helps that Jenkins is committed but that he doesn't feel pressured by him.
