Tennessee has tried to recruit him the last year. He's just shown more interest the last couple of weeks. Kamara even unofficially visited up here in the summer so the previous staff really liked him and tried to recruit him.

Earlier today Hubbs said that Kamara has spoken with UT more in the last 10 days than his entire recruitment prior (I posted the quote in here) and it caused some buzz on VQ. This was Hubbs' follow up to folks discussing it.

There's something he didn't like about the last staff, or it's something else. Who knows. Maybe this staff is just showing him more attention than the last.

I just do not understand where the optimism is coming from. He canceled his visit here did he not?

26 (?) days until NSD. Not surprising to me that we are starting to hear a little more chatter from possible recruits. I think Kamara has always had some interest in UT. I think UT has always had interest in Kamara. I do not think the last coaching staff did a great job of connecting with him and letting him know just exactly how much we were interested.

But, my last name is not Kamara, so I really don't know. Hopefully come NSD we find out he likes us.

Kamara told VQ he would be here next weekend. He hasn't told them otherwise. Kamara may have told others he's no longer visiting but not VQ.

Like Jay said VQ guys don't report hearsay, they report what they're told directly from recruits or the coaching staff.

Who reported we met with him this morning but couldn't get a visit scheduled?

Kipp usually shoots is mouth off so he could be first on breaking news. I would trust Hubbs before someone like Kipp.

I trust hubbs and have no idea about this guy but his info is from this morning. Hubbs info is older than that I believe

"After speaking with Alvin Kamara on Friday morning it seems what most have known for a while. He is down to two schools.
It was looking like Kamara would visit Tennessee this weekend, but he told on Friday 'not anymore.' I asked him if Georgia and Alabama would be on the two schools he would visit he replied 'yea probably.' He should have visits set up soon between the two SEC schools, who are also looking to get the last visit."
