We need to continue look at other Rb's and take them if we like them. This guy may not come. We need to not end up empty handed.

I agree we should look at more, but don't think we should take them until DG/AK both say no. We have a pretty good shot at DG, and at least a fighters chance at AK. JMO.

Uhm no, this is the 4th or 5th time you have brought up the Lane/Poole thing. I was wrong, but Poole sucked and Dooley was prob the only coach in america who starts Tauren. Go away psycho stalker. You are either Tauren or Tauren's girlfriend. I get it, you love him and think he's the best RB in Vol history. I get it...

I think Poole was a very good RB. He struggled as any RB would running behind a very inexperienced OL. The OL was not held accountable for their lack of run blocking. That can't be put on Poole. He had over 2000 total yards while at UT in only about 2 years of work. Put TP behind our OL we had this year and he would have been a 1400-1500 yard back IMO. "The next guy" is always better to the fans. That just does not always prove to be the case.

Poole ran behind the same O-line when they were freshmen....So what's the reason for the dropoff? And explain to me how you support a kid that walked off the field and quit on the team because he felt he was better than Bryce Brown......I'll wait. And there hasn't been a less talented starting RB over an entire season in UT history than Poole. Calling him a 1400-1500 yard back is just downright ridiculous. You're telling me he was one of the best rbs in UT history with a year like that........

You mean like rushing for 1,000 yards? Because that's good. How about ball security? Name 4 fumbles he had in his 2 years as a starter (I can't remember any personally). Or you could just go watch the Oregon game. Or his 100 yard rushing game against Bama in 2010.

1000 yard plug of a back. Ball security is okay I guess. Didn't know we were just laying it on the ground this year outside of Lane and Devrin. But 2 games in two years where the Bama game was mostly on a huge run where he was damn near untouched. Anybody could've run through that hole. Oregon game was really one half. Now name a game where he dominated and was the reason we won the game..... and name me something else besides "ball security".

I don't understand the hate on TP. Was he one of the great Tennessee backs? Of course not. But he was a Vol that represented the big Orange well. Never got in trouble that I remember. Practiced, sweat, and shed blood on Shields Watkins field. He is a Vol and deserves our respect IMO.

Its not really hate its more like an honest assessment of his talent, not him as a person. He's a great guy by all accounts. BTW, possibly two of our best rb's were morally deficient humans.

I realize that but he's gone and I don't quite understand the need to posthumously (career wise) analyze his skills or lack thereof. Serves no purpose IMO. But if y'all feel the need, who I am I to scold? Carry on.
