'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

According to VQ the rumor is that the visit with the coaches went very well and there is a possibility he could do something the week after Christmas. Still a two team race between michigan and UT. Very, very good news IMO.

I firmly believe this is the guy we need. Blanchard is too risky with previous injuries, the kid that was committed to Cincy isn't stout nearly enough, and Green is a straight up badass. Comeon Butch, make this happen.

not to mention the recruiting momentum that CBJ needs and would get by securing a committment from Green.

I think both the QB and RB's will be plenty happy about the O line next year. We have to fix the depth beyond next year though. Hopefully this class can RS and develop depth behind Crowder, Kerb, Posey, etc.

Lane was highly recruited and if not for his knee injury would have been a 5 star. Lane definitely had a 5 star offer list and was showing out at camps. Hopefully we see the fully healed, confident in his knee Lane. He definitely was the best back the last of the season and really ran well and hard.

Yeah but in reality he was 4* with a serious knee injury so I don't consider him to have been top shelf like Green. That said, I don't hate I.. I appreciate. I like Lane. He is a very good back. But he is no game changer. Some people can come back 100% from an ACL and some can't. Lane is the latter I do believe.

I like Lane, personally. I've watched back through some of the games from 2012, and it was often Lane who got our running game going. Not sure he's elite, but I think he is very solid. I'm excited to see his game continue to develop.

Read that. Great news, but still, not holding my breath. I bet this goes down to NSD. I still think Michigan leads based on what I've read, but who really knows.

Me too. He has really good vision. And gets every inch that he can out of his runs.. which is more than Neal. Just lacks that extra gear and confidence in his abilities.

If we can land Green prior to Jan 1...this class could be fun to watch finish.

We need one big time prospect to hop on board to get this thing going.

OLinemen will flock to TN to block for Green.

I have nothing but admiration for your strength and ability to endure such horrifying experiences.
