They punted this issue forward, at least a portion of the boosters and Hart. We are in a self inflicted hole. the more I have come to grips with that the more I am reconciled with this hire. No quick fixes. Step one is getting back to beating Vandy and KY no we will not have top 10 classes, nor should we right now. Step 2 is get at least 75K fans to most of the games and pay down some of these buyouts. I have faith that Jones can be a better custodian than Dooley and at least buy us time to get regrouped. I don't like it but making a bowl and getting to 8 wins is the 1st step. The series of events that have transpired with the SEC rising up at the time we fired Fulmer akwardly and shot ourselves in the foot is not a hole we can wish ourselves out of.

I may be dead wrong but I fully believe the people that brought you the akward firing of Fulmer and the unfortunate hiring of Kiffen are the same people that brought you this mess. It's nice having money and power until you systematically screw it up for everyone else.

I'd imagine his sentiments would read like this.

You've evaporated 25 years of stability with your previous decisions.

You've evaporated cash flows.

You've piled up buyouts for employees doing nothing that exceeds most schools coaching salaries.

XYZ new coach needs 5 years, to show stability, to paydown debts, to regroup. Build up recruits.

We burned this bish back to ground 0 in the last 4 years.

This does not help me slice to think positive thoughts at all. How does Hart do this! How? If Gruden was there how do we not end up with him? I am so sad.

He felt Gru wasn't permanent and would drive up pay at UT for years to come. His opinion we can still win without the Gru circus.

At more than Saban and no championships or experience at this level I could understand. I can also understand people who would say we accept mediocrity by not going big. Rebuild the base gradually or gamble every available dollar on a dream.....

I wouldn't have minded seeing Fulmer and a solid staff here to rebuild. Probably same results as Jones but at least I could laugh at family then another outsider cashing in.
