Noticed that we are well over 8000 people online again. Is something brewing???????

No. It's the result of what is known as Obamanomics and Grudenomics.

In short, Obamanomics is the job environment that has been created by Obama's economic policies which, to be brief, means the US has no plan to find employment for the boatload of people who are out of work with nothing better to do.

Grudenomics is also economic in nature but looks more at measuring worker productivity. To be as brief as I can, Grudenomics results in a far bigger boatload of people who will soon be out of work as they haven't gotten a &*%$ing thing done at their respective jobs in about 3 weeks.

Anybody reading anything into the timing of the Cheek announcement?

Office of the Chancellor | December 2012 | Notes from the Chancellor

Reading between the lines (don't even really need to do that, it's RIGHT THERE), I hear this: "Our AD is going to have to pony up some big $$$ now for a coach and I've been strongly encouraged to quit siphoning off football money as of now and for the next 3 years."

They wouldn't make this move for Strong. Perhaps someone with a SB ring? Just saying....

I read ya

Pat Forde:

In a stunning coup, Arkansas will hire Wisconsin's Bret Bielema as its next football coach, Yahoo! Sports has learned.

Bielema, who has taken the Badgers to three straight Rose Bowls, was nowhere on the radar amid months of speculation over who Arkansas would hire.

An announcement will come Tuesday, sources told Y! Sports, but Bielema is not expected to be introduced until Wednesday.

I'm going to say this again because it is important:

If Arkansas gets Gundy and we end up with Strong or Fedora - I am going to be devastated. I also think that would be grounds for immediate dismissal for Hart.

Looks like we're that last man standing of the SEC schools looking for a candidate. That's gotta be a good sign.

Or a REALLY bad sign.

If UNC comes out today with a statement that it is giving Fedora a raise and an extension, we better all pray to our respective deity that Auburn takes Smart.

Bielema to Arky just announced.

Dude, it looks like Arky just got somebody better than Gundy.

Looks like Arky got Bieliema from Wisconsin.... Fantastic hire, IMO.

I would take Fulmer (if he can get Chavis and a solid OC) over Fedora or Smart, but that is just me.

You can do that well at a 2 year school. Don't need UT to do that, You attend UT to get a Higher Education, which includes skills, but also to become an "educated citizen". It is not a job training school.

All of this can be interesting to discuss, but I didn't mean it literally. I did not go to UT to research either. I went to understand and learn economics, business, and the like. That is what I mean by a trade- not actually learning how to do carpentry or something.
