They are in full on meltdown mode, people talking about jumping off of cliffs, saying he shown he can't recruit since he has not had a top 25 class at louisville, will lead to another five years of irrelevance, saying Dave Hart is incompetent, and many other outlandish statements. One of my favorites was this one:

I guess no matter who we hire, probably even the great Jon Gruden, there will be nega-vols. Disappointing but human nature, I guess.

This Strong news makes me very happy. He was my number one choice throughout (until the Gruden stuff hit) the offseason and coming into this year.

Yes, Springbok started one of the Gruden threads assuring everyone it was a done deal. I know there was some fire with the Gruden talk; it was not just smoke. However, I wish the insiders would have just kept it to themselves until it was absolutely certain he would be our next coach (i.e., signing the contract).

You know me to. Just ready to get this over with. And if its true that Strong contacted UT to let them know he would be interested I'd say now its just a matter of getting things worked out. I know some are saying UL will counter but what Strong has to look at is stay in a basketball conference or coming to the SEC where he coached for years. Some things out weight money. Especially when your talking about a few hundred thousand or so. JMO
