Say this on another site.

WSFA reported earlier that Gus and Kirby are the top 2 choices and Petrino has not even been contacted.

I just not sure Smart would be the answer for any major program right now. I think Smart is just trying to get his name out there and maybe a pay raise. Saban does push ACs out there for interview experience and to help get them higher salaries.

I could be wrong but AU has to be able to do better for a HC. I mean at least someone with HC experience.

Good lord, what is it coming to when I have to agree wholeheartedly with a bammer?

I've kept up w/ Nebraska & talk to alot of Husker fans, they are split on Pelini.

If you just look at Gundy & Pelini's resumes w/out knowing which one belongs to who I bet 90% of the people would choose Pelini.

Honestly, I think it's six one, half dozen the other...doesn't look like it'll matter anyway.

Looking like it'll be Strong. :dance2:

He had a lot of tackles but what else?

He had very little impact on the game.

he put up Keith Brooking numbers LOL

I would disagree, AJ was a force. He was the only reliable player on UT's struggling defense. He also had 8 rushing TD, thats gotta be worth something. AJ will be a top round pick in 2014 or 2015.

I asked Brent this also, but now that we're at this point, what do you think we're waiting on? Seems like we are just at a point of inaction today.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
oh, there are things to work out once you get "serious interest".

I suspect once we get a MOU with someone, they will be ready for an announcement. But until offers are made, counter-offers and trust me, Louisville is going to counter also, then some time will go by.

I doubt there is inaction happening, it just not being discussed.

its encouraging that Hubbs said, in another thread, very possible announcement by Wednesday.

- Post from Larry (LWS)

T -- Sharrif Floyd, Florida,6-3, 303, Jr.
T -- Sheldon Richardson, Missouri, 6-4, 295, Jr.
E -- Jadeveon Clowney, South Carolina, 6-6, 256, So.
E -- Damontre Moore, Texas A&M, 6-4, 250, Jr.

can you imagine this d-line? :eek:hmy:

Hubbs was asked if he thought that this could be done by Wednesday and he said yes. That's big boys and girls. Sounds like the wheels are rolling downhill. Larry did say that he heard that Gundy would be more comfortable (better fit) at Arky IF he leaves.

It would be ridiculous, but if FSU could coach up the talent they have theirs could be close to that good IMO.

AJ was surely not a force.

if you have an account on SECDigital, you can watch every game.

he whiffed on so many assignments, tackles and placement.

cool he had 130+ tackles, how many for Loss? how many game changing plays? how many PBUs? when has an offense gameplanned around AJ? it just didnt happen.
He just was not an impact guy

I don't want any part of this Charles Strong guy. It really shows how far we've fallen as a program when the best we can do is get coaches from Louisville.

I'm still holding out hope for Gruden..way too many conflicting reports for there not to be something going on. Nothing about the search makes sense..so until a pc is being held to introduce another coach, I'll stick with my sources and say Gruden is our guy.

Strong over gruden IMO....gruden can't handle kids, he can't develop guys....name one qb he developed intocq quality qb

Guys in the Strong thread only want a coach who wins 19 games a year with 3 Super Bowls. Has to have the cure for cancer in his play book. Favorite post was comparing Strong to Tyrone Willingham... But it wasn't about race.

Do you even know much about this guy you call Charlie?

Its your opinion versus mine, it is absurd for you to say that someone with 130 tackles wasn't an impact guy. He had 8.5 TFL which is good for a guy going sideline-to-sideline because nobody else was making plays. AJ Johnson deserved to be all-SEC.

Go back and find a football coaching hire from a more prestigious school. I'll wait.

Let's wait for the coaches to name their All-SEC team. Put more credence in what the coaches say than what some sportswriter says.
