This is why I'm for Mora and Fisher... Fisher might not have done much yet, but he has pulled top recruiting classes every year, and prob bound to a BCS bowl. The coaching candidates this year suck, so I just feel those are our best 2 options.

If Gruden were never considered or talked about, a lot of coaches that ARE in the hunt would be seen as huge upgrades but everyone is comparing them to Gruden.

I think a vast majority of the fanbase is going to support the coach no matter who it is until he gives us reason not to....unless his name is Golden.

It ain't over boys. Don't give up. Honestly the discussion boards were the driving force of all this stuff breaking. This was what was giving people hope. The news they broke that had to be big enough to get us to give up and move on as well as keeping the truth between a select few people so that "sources" don't reveal what they have heard. Hence TFP's story up until yesterday. A lot of stuff just doesn't add up and this is the story I choose to believe albeit stupid or not. I could care less if you tell me this is a ridiculous story because its my opinion and hope and what I want to believe while I can until we have a new coach. The longer we go without a coach the better it appears to be Gruden. When they can do that they can move about their daily business ad not worry about Grumors. JMO feel free to bash though as I will not be returning for awhile since everyone has disappeared. Good luck Vol fans. We will rise again. GBO

No coaches names were thrown out, all I know is he has been contacted and he will meet with members of UT Monday.

Probably because Hart has lost the funds for the new coach that had been secured. JMO

Quotes from Stephen Hargis article on Dooley and lack of in-state recruiting. So yes, Hurd knows who Gruden is...

"Who UT gets as its coach will help me decide how interested I am in them. If they were to get a guy like Jon Gruden, that would definitely be a factor for me. He's somebody you know has coached at the highest level and knows what it takes to win and to get you to that level. If he was their coach, that would be huge for me and I'd say for a lot of other recruits in the state, too."

I don't know how you feel but think people strongly under estimate Strong.. If you research him he would do good things here.. I was hard on him early but I'm coming around

God I hope so.. Not because I love Strong or anything but if it's actually down to him, Fisher, and Fedora then it doesn't matter which of the 3 we get and Strong may be the best of those.

I just want this all to end so we can move on and get behind our coach, team, and hopefully decent recruiting class.

I've got a theory:

The "in the know" people behind this Gruden saga got wind of this message board madness, which also fueled the local media, which in turned fueled the other state media that broke news nationally.

At this point, the "in the know" people shut it all down from where it originated; here.

Makes sense, how strong certain people's views were before yesterday that just turned in a flash.

That's my conspiracy theory.

Also, blue is really blue and a bird chirps.
