I can't believe Vandy got that guy. Blind squirrel, I guess. Besides Stoops or maybe, just maybe, Fisher, I don't think there's anyone else that has the potential to do better. He would bring electricity we haven't seen from our coach in, well...maybe ever!

I believe that he broke multiple NCAA rules last night. Being on the field during a contest should result in penalties.

This is the strangest, most kept secret search I've ever seen at UT. Nothing adds up to a hill of beans from any angle of these so called candidates. I'll just wait till they have the official announcement of the coach, and we shall gaze upon whom it is. I just hope for the sake of our sanity it is not another experiment.

I agree with you for sure but hart has to be very careful how he handles these boosters you speak about. He can't loose their money IMO

Bump because I was thinking the same thing. Not to say that it has to make sense, because nothing really seems to make sense right now with this whole thing, but would like opinions on this...

Exactly. I have been thinking about us being at UT the same time lol. Still wondering if our paths crossed. My nickname was BC in college. Was around the Fiji house a lot, lived in the fort, and spent most evenings on the strip or at Lucilles in the old city. Sound familiar?

I have never been to the Fiji house that can remember anyway. The fort for sure but I don't recall BC

I think based on the different reports from different news outlets with different sources, it isn't Boosters VS AD, it is actually Some Boosters VS AD + Some Boosters.

We were either at my condo at 22nd and highland (Franklin Station) or at a friends house at 22nd and White.

Our condo was the one that caught on fire the weekend of the 98 Florida game from a burning helium filled alligator lol.

Guys - we all want to know how everything went down with Gruden. But let's not rewrite history. There were 3 sides to this: AD, boosters, and Gruden. Credible and now public information is plenty for us know that a deal was close and fell through for reasons I'm not sure about. Gruden did not have potential staff, families, agents, and boosters all believing he would be the next HC because of some egomaniacal plot to sooth his ego. That strains reason to the point of credulity.

It was close. It didn't work out. It's not the first time something didn't work out. But the big boys didn't all of the sudden becomes whiny gossipy girls. Maybe some lower level boosters detached from the action did, but the key players. Something got in the way. I just don't know what.

D you think lamonte was being truthful when he stated that Hart's call on Friday morning was the first time they heard from UT?

For the others, Carter is telling you why nothing "adds up." It is because all of the Gruden "interest" was overhyped and nowhere close to reality.

I agree. We have to rebuild this thing from the ground up. Recruiting is the foundation. So, I hope we get a great recruiter. Before the dead period!
