Liper I know you remember last night when you received those two texts and I asked you if something wasn't lining up. Dang it. I knew something was a miss. Hopefully you can find out something further n your searches

Oh yeah! I remember. I didn't want the scare the crap out of everyone without checking some things. But it was late and I was worried and knew a lot of the info might not have made the rounds yet. Unfortunately, my fears turned out to be the truth.

Fire dave hart!!!!!!! Who the crap is he to choose our coach. Who is tennessee? The thousands of fans and the boosters who support our team. We are tennessee not dave hart. We deserve gruden!!!!!!

I would like to say. Please no Franklin. If we offer him and it goes public and he shuns us. Even the Vandy coach won't take the job. Whew I can only imagine the jokes coming from that move for years.

Tell me how good he is then Jason and big hairy. I see the two best wins being NC and KY. The remainder of the schedule is crap. Not to mention the losses at the end. Tennessee with Dooley could beat Louisvile 8 out of 10.

Ultimately, I want to keep a pro-style offense. Therein lies my unrest for Charlie.

To borrow some philosophical ideaology from the fully toked Da'Rick Rogers, "F~©¶ Dave Hart, he cant knock our hustle"

After listening to Ainge and Basilio today, i felt they were very level-headed and agreed with Hargis for the most part.

Hyams and Hubbs...different story.

In short, I gained alot of respect for Ainge, Baasilio, and especially Stephen Hargis after today.

I lost a lot of respect for the Animal's morning show after they lampooned Hargis when Hyams came on. That was ridiculous. Don't even know the man and talking about him being an unscrupulous reporter and brought up in the wrong age of reporting.

I am boycotting. I guess I'll be rogue exclusively in the morning.

Man, I couldn't listen bc I was working my arse off. But heard it was lively today!

Liper...
I was previously very close to someone on the AD back on the day. There was always so much more info than why was able to be discussed. Now I'm just a guy looking for some info....

This is something I did not know, I read the Hargis story on line. It is my understanding, based on the radio reports, that this was not a sports story, in the sports section...it was the front page story of the chattanooga paper. Much scrutiny would be given to the story, considering the subject matter...is it true that it was front page news?

I just happened to run into an NFL Assistant Coach (can't disclose who) that used to live in my neighborhood who I've known for 15 years and asked him about all of this. He basically said, I don't know where things stand, but I will tell you another coach on our staff went to Knoxville in the last 2 weeks to look at schools and houses. I asked him why and he told me "you can probably figure that out yourself".

Now I'm not suggesting, and neither was he, that this means anything on where things stand today. But it is another clear indication that real conversations have been occurring for quite a while.

A valid point. But I think he's worth checking into through back channels. Jmo.

While I am a big fan of Gruden and would love to see him as our coach, am I the only one that thinks that there is a possibility he might be a coach version of Da'Rick Rogers? Big ego, etc.

Yes it was on line. Dont know about real paper

Don't pretend to know it all, and I am limited in what information I can get (can't really ask for it, just comes when it comes). Last night knocked me off my couch. Total shock. Gruden was coming. If everyone only knew how close we were to getting him...you think people are pissed now...

But if he was coming do you have enough info to make you think he probably won't now?

Do you think he could do that to Peyton, Haslam, more importantly Peyton..

Could he let the message be "the Vols were dreaming" thinking they could get me and not burn some serious bridges with Peyton and, hell, his wife?
