Hard to get info up here in the great white north. Thanks for all the info from the "OG's" and others.

I keep telling my Syracuse fiends what it's like to have a NC. They're bitter.

I think a big hire is the way to go. I know I'd be willing to pony up a new VASF scholly if they make it happen.

Heck, even my wife wants us to get him just to end all this!!

There is just so much more to all of this than we realize. I think there is something amiss and part of it could be the payment to to JG by TB. I understand needing to give the illusion that there is no interest on his part but do not understand the insulting way in which it was done. This leads me to believe it was his agent who came up the "you all were in a fantasyland" thing. I just don't believe that JG would be that harsh. And that makes me think there still could be hope for TN but that's just my opinion and the only thing that makes sense to me. If you're not interested, you don't have to insult us..... just say you're not interested and move on.:unsure::unsure:

I am willing to give Hart the benefit of the doubt. He's either playing this deftly to suit Gruden's timeline, which is good OR he thinks Gruden is not the best candidate and that would be bad.

I hate to say this but if it turns out to be a bunch of grown men in a pissing match over whether Gruden is the best candidate, I'll laugh myself into the crazy house.

Lamonte is just playing the game which makes him great at what he gets paid to do, being an agent and getting the most for his clients.

Then, he falls off the grid and talks to no one else.

Finally, all denials and rejections have come from sources and not from the source (the AD or the Grude).

Did my recap go too far off base or is this as logical as anything else?

Everyone on this thread is a troll. What BS I bought into. If we hire Charlie Strong I will mail my Summa degree back. We can beat Kentucky with no coach.

I wonder how many Alabama fans gave up when Saban said "I guess I have to say it. I'm not going to be the Alabama coach."

There's still hope until someone other than JG is announced as our next coach.:rock:

That is something I have been pondering since I stopped being quite so butthurt about the comments...it definitely took my focus from wanting Gruden so bad to wanting to beat the $#@# out of Lamonte. I'm hopeful that this is the case and it was a deflecting comment cause I still want Gruden bad.

I think we were all (for the most part) fair , in giving him his time to make things right , even though we all had a pretty good idea he wasn't the man for the job early on. The next guy will not get the same treatment. At least , not from me. If Tennessee doesn't go all out to win , by making the right hire , every last one of us have the right to be critical of not only the new coach , but the man who hires him also.

I like strong a lot more than most on here. I like Mora too though, he won a lot of games with Michael Vick, which Andy Reid said is real hard to do!!lol
