Strong is a football coach coaching in a basketball conf. A lot of these coaches know you can lose 1 game and still play for the nc in the sec, it will happen again this year. You lose 1 game in the big east/acc you're done as far as playing for a nc. Louisville has the money to make it difficult to take Strong but they would have to more than match the offer imo. Strong was not interested in AUB or ARK, but he is very interested in Tennessee, so this is not a deal where he is trying to get more money from Louisville.

Skeeter have you heard Greg Romans name mentioned at all? I know he does not fit the criteria but reports say he is highly interested.

We would have to pay him around 4 mil a year to get him per sources, I think that's WAY too much to pay him!

But, we'll see what happens - paying him 4 mil would make him what 3rd-4th in the SEC?

That scares me...

That is childish breaker. In the busines world, companies hire the best takent regardless of whether they worked for a competitor or not.

If we want to excel again, we need to hire the sharpest coach, the best recruiter, the best motivator. If we want mediocrity, we accept less than the best and allow childish grudges to stand in our way.

Florida got Muschamp for less than 3 mil, but we're gonna pay Strong 4 mil? It just seems we're having to severely overpay in order to get someone here.

Louisville has the money, and the facilities to compete. We would have to severely blow him away compensation wise, and I think at that point were reaching...

I personally think that is a fair number. Give him 4 and 4 to go get the best assistants. That is 2 million less than Gruden and we are getting a proven recruiter, college coordinator and college head coach. He and Fedora make me happy. If this unites and excites the fanbase, LET'S GO!!!

UF got Muschamp at 3 mill for his girst HC gig. Strong has 3 years as a HC. Took the L'ville job for about 1 mil.

Franklin played an incredibly weak schedule this year. Worse than Georgia's even.

Personally, I want him to stay right where he is so when we turn this thing around we can thump his shiny bald head back into line.

Especially with what we're willing to pay for assistants. I'd be fine with Fedora, NOT with Fisher, though.

I think those 3 are the most likely.

In my opinion, it will either be Strong, Fedora, or Fisher. And in that order, unless Fisher really wants to leave FSU, and Hart feels a special affinity for him.

I really couldn't care less, but how bad would it suck for FSU if they win the ACC and then their entire staff leaves before a bowl game? Ouch.
